Sorry to hear about Michayla's setback. My daughter (not autistic) used to get migraines in the heat that would make her throw up. Try to keep her cool, you've gotten great tips from others.

We're hoping she will be ok, but we will definitely be watching her. Unfortunately, she can't let us know if she's sick, hurting, too hot, too cold....it's always a guessing game.

Today is the day our adventure begins!! We are going to Portland this afternoon and spending the night (well partial night) at a Park-n-Stay Motel near the airport. We have to be at the airport around 3:30am for our 5:30am flight.

I think we're ready to go......we have 9 checked bags (2 of those is all medical/formula supplies for Michayla...which will empty out for souvenirs on the return trip) and 6 carry-on bags. Gonna be interesting. We are set up with a Special Agent with TSA to meet us at the front doors of the airport and then escort us through all the security and to the gate. This will be nice having some one-on-one to get all of our medical stuff we have on carry-on and the 5 kids that have never been inside an airport before through all the security measures they have in place.

We fly to Denver, Colorado and have a 2 1/2 hr layover (breakfast) and then onto Orlando (3 1/2 hrs). We are all set up for the Magical Express, have our MagicBands in my backpack and then onto the Pop Century Resort. Best part??? I get to see my kid (Derek)!!! He left in early February for the Disney College Program (his 3rd go-around) and this will be his first chance meeting his new sister Jasmin!!

I will check-in off and on during our trip just to let you know what we're up to, how things are going & to tease you with a picture or two as well.

Not that I'm aware of since we're not leaving the secured gate areas. We do have Shy's peanut allergy noted in Southwest's system, so they will be expecting us for the connecting flight.

We are in Denver.....got here early (around 8:45am). Sitting at our gate for the Orlando leg. Kids did AMAZING!!!

I figured I would check in since I NEVER get notifications for this site and sure as heck you have been posting away. Well now that I posted maybe it will do something LOL. I didn't even have any alerts that you had posted but I will be watching FB like a hawk and make sure to check here every day from now on.
