Has anybody done this? I may or may not have enough MyPoints points to cash in for a RF GC for the next time we go. But I was thinking of just ordering a gift cert through Giftcertificates (through MyPoints, of course) and at least earning 2pts/$ for the thing.

I was wondering what everyone else thought about this....

I just ordered one for Amazon through them. I need to send a gift to my cousin, so I figured I might as well order myself a GC, and then use the balance letter for myself (or DS).

I haven't ordered a RFC GC from them but I have gotten many GCs for B&M stores thru them. The last time, it took almost a week for them to get here. I've never had a problem with any of the GCs they've sent. As a precaution, I always check their balances when they arrive by calling the phone number on the back of each card.

When I go thru Giftcertificates.com, I always order a Supercertificate to be sent to myself. Then I order the GCs using the SuperCertificate. By doing it this way, you do not have to pay a shipping fee. If you order the GCs directly, you will pay a shipping fee of at least $2.95.

And if you do CreationsRewards, Chris offers 5 pts./$ at Giftcertificates.com. I did some calculating and it is actually a better value for your dollar than the 2 pts./$ that MyPoints gives.

Good to know about the Supercertificates. I wouldn't have thought of that. Now if only I can remember when I go to do it.

I didn't have to pay anything on the Amazon one because it was an email cert.

I did order a Rainforest GC through Giftcertificates.com before my last trip. I didn't have a whole lot of time so I just had it mailed to me. Of course I went through My Points to get the points though. :D I don't remember how long it took to come in the mail, but I don't think it was more than a week. The only reason I won't do it again is I wasn't impressed with RFC.

Hmmmm....to each his own, I guess. :) RFC is one of the few places I actually like a lot. But then I'm a meat-and-potatoes kinda gal (and I don't mean fancy meat and potatoes), so I like their Pot Roast.

Although I will admit that when it's crowded it's not so fun.

Thanks for the tip about the Supercertificates. I order a RFC through giftcertificates.com and had to pay the shipping. Didn't even dawn on me to do it with a Supercertificate. Will definately do it that way next time.
