For those of you who have ordered your disney tickets in advance through disney, what does your ticket look like?
Is it a piece of paper? or a paper ticket? or a plastic 'gift card' type?

Thanks!!

I ordered my tickets through the travel agency, but I have not recieved them yet. Normally, (My TA) said that they just print off a vocher and you get your tickets at the parks, but she decided to directly mail the tickets to us :) I should have them soon, and they are paper tickets with our last names on the back, little scanners on the back and a picture of a part of the disney park on the front :)

The tickets you get from the various ticket brokers are paper with a plastic type coating for durability. We used this type on our last trip and they were fine, no problems. I kept them in a ziplock snack bag to keep them together and safe. The first time we went to Disney we had the credit card type that were our room key/park tickets all in one.

I have read elsewhere on these boards that if you purchase your tickets in advance and are then staying on property that you can have your tickets transfered on to your room key. That is what we are planning on doing this trip. If it doesn't work then I'll just keep them in the ziplock bag like last time.

We were at Disney last in November 06 and when we received our tickets direct from Disney they were little credit card type tickets that had different disney characters on each one.

There are paper tickets, the plastic credit card tickets (which we got this year throught the disney store), and if you are staying on property - your room key card is your tickets, room key and meals plan (had that last year)!! They now sell at most of the disney shops either a layard with a plastic holder for the tickets or a keychain type clip with the plastic holder. This was handy both for the tickets and the fastpasses.

While we were in Kissimmee a few weeks ago, they had a news bulletin on the their local news about people along 192 being charged with selling fraudulent multi-day tickets to guests. I even spoke with a woman who said she would buy my expired used up multi-day ticket and when I asked her how she could use that she said they have a way of erasing the fingerprint and then they upgrade it or something to add days.

I would never buy from those vendors. It didn't sound like guests were reimbursed for their bad tickets either.

We purchased ours at our local Disney Store. They were the pretty credit card types. The kids just LOVE them and they'll make a great keepsake.

When we were at the Flea Market in Orlando a couple of weeks ago, I had a a vendor ask me how many days we didn't use and he offered to buy our unused days. He told me they sell them to the "locals" who want to "pop" in for an evening. DH was curious so he mentioned about the fingerprint situation, the vendor told us that after a certain time of day they don't ask for the fingerprint. Needless to say it seemed crooked to us so we opted to keep our little cards :)

FYI: We did enter one park first thing in the morning and we never asked for our fingerprints (we were a party of 8 as well).

Also, they never questioned the ages for the children who had children tickets. It would have been VERY easy for us to buy our 10 year old (she's VERY short) a childs ticket and pass her off as 9 and under. But we didn't...we're honest people :flower3:

I've only bought tickets in advance directly from Disney for special events like the Pirate and Princess party and MNSSHP. I asked for will call, so I got a confirmation # and just picked them up at the gates or the resort.
