I noticed on the Disney website it says that you can order a cake for a special celebration. I didn't see any additonal information of who to contact or what the choices my be. I would be interested in a birthday cake and I got the impression it could be brought to a specific restauraunt. Any help of who to call, what might be offered, or prices would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance,

Call 1-407-824-2474 48 hours in advance of when you want the cake. Two years ago, I ordered a cake for DD's 2nd birthday. It was chocolate with custard and fresh strawberries as the filling and whipped cream icing. Delicious! And it was much too big for us. It was $40 two years ago. I will be calling again for the same cake for DD's 4th birthday in April, but we'll have 14 in our group then, so I don't think there will be a crumb left!

Hi! I had been going nuts for MONTHS trying to find a decent cake for my DS's FIRST birthday at Whispering Canyon. I wanted a cowboy/western cake OBVIOUSLY! Well, when I called the cale line, they said they just have plain round and sheet cakes and that they don't do fancy cakes or anything. I talked to the front desk at the Wilderness Lodge, left messages for the manger of the Whispering Canyon and talked to numerous cast members. It seemed hopeless.

FINALLY I spoke with the Food and Beverage manager for the Wilderness Lodge and she was able to arrange to have a cake with chocolate cowboy boots and a cowboy hat on it!!! I'm so excited that it will have SOME sort of design and dimension to it. YAY!

So... if you're looking for something specific, try to talk to the food and beverage manager for the restaurant/resort you are planning to dine at. Hope that helps!

I am sooo glad you posted this tidbit of info because we are too doing DD's b-day at Whispering Canyon and I have not called for her cake yet but I don't think I want a plain one for her. She is ALL PRINCESS so maybe something with Cindy on it!!!

Thank You

Once you decide which restaurant you will be celebrating at, call the WDW dining number and ask how to handle it. Chances are they will give you a direct telephone number to that specific restaurant and you can arrange for your special cake. There is a thread on this forum with pictures of cakes people have ordered in the past....some are really beautiful! We ordered one from Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge and it was completely scrumptious!!

That is correct....I called a week before our arrival in November and ordered a birthday cake for my DH's 40 BD. We had it at Whispering Canyon. It was a chocolate/chocolate...delicious and only $12.50. It was personalized with Happy 40 Birthday (his name). They had a larger cake for more money, but this was just the right size for our family of four.

In 2004 we had dd's birthday dinner at LTT. I called the restaraunt directly to order the cake, Disney dining gave me the number. In 2005, we had her dinner at 1900 Park Fair. A pic of her cake is in my signature.

Is it possible to have a cake delivered to your room? We will be at the WL..Or could I just go to WCC and pick it up?

I was at WL this past OCT. and I remember seeing that you can order a cake through room service. I will try and find the info with my scrap stuff. I believe that it was from their food and beverage dept.. I found it!!!! It reads that the bakery chefs at WL can make cakes. I am not sure what the phone # is directly, but the # at WL is 7-1043 from 8 am to 11 am and from 4 pm to 12 pm.

hoping I have luck getting birthday cakes in June. We are eating at Le Cellier for my DH's birthday and I want to order a cake. Plus we will celebrate both my daughters' birthday's with a cake at Chef Mickey's dinner hopefully. I will call 1-2 wks in advance and hope everything goes smooth.
