My DD will be having her 6th birthday:bday: when we go to DW at the end of the month. I am planning to order a cake:cake: for her when we have dinner at Chef Mickey's::MickeyMo . I know I have to order it 48 hours prior, but I have a couple of questions of those of you who have done this before. I am assuming if she is a little princessprincess: girl that I can request a princess themed cake, am I correct? I am thinking of an 8" round so my other question is does anyone know about how much they cost? I just want to have a ball park figure in my head so I know what to plan for. Me and my little Virgo mind ;) are very much the plan ahead kind of person, so I don't want to go there thinking I'll only be spending around $30 and it's more like $60. Thanks!

If you go to the restaurant board there is a sticky with all cake ordering information. It's a HUGE thread with pictures and answers to every question...including phone #'s and pricing!

good luck!!:hippie:

We ordered a cake from the Grand Floridian for DD's 5th birthday dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I think it was a 6 inch (more than enough for our family - we gave the rest to a neighboring table) and it cost about $18. I just got simple a plain white cake since dd has food allergies, but I think you could definitely do something more elaborate. I know there is a glass slipper cake option too.

Here is DD's cake.

We were at the Park Faire for DD4's birthday this year. I considering ordering her a cake, but I knew we would have dessert with the buffet (Chef Mickey's has a great ice cream sundae bar if you have not been there before). They also brought out a cupcake for her along with a tiara and a placemat signed by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, etc. After I saw all the food and also the extras they brought her, the cake would have been overkill and we would have wasted it. As it was, we brought the cupcake back to the room and she never ate it.

I know that didn't answer your question about Chef Mickey's at all :rotfl2: , but I wanted to share our experience with our little princess to give you something to consider. Maybe the cake would be better on another day when you don't have a meal that has dessert included. I think I have read that they do the placemat and cupcake at Chef Mickey's as well.

We did take DD4 to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before her dinner at 1900 Park Faire. She had fun being dressed up as Cinderella when we met the real Cinderella!

I totally agree with the PP. We ordered a cake at Chef Mickey's- it was a Mickey cake for my DS. We had so much food and the kids wanted the ice cream, so we hardly ate any cake! I have really cute pictures with his birthday cake, but if I were to do it again, I would just tell them that we have a birthday and get a decorated cupcake. Just my opinion, it may be more difficult with anolder shild, but we had a lot of wasted cake. (We left the next morning, so we couldn't even save it!)
