Ordered annual passes in March

i ordered and received my annual passes/bands in march. I didn't get the sliders but got a note saying they will come later because of shortage. I also didn't get my magnetic mouse head for the car.


Did anyone else get theirs after their magicbands came in?

I haven't broke my annual passes in yet. That will happen soon.

Should I email them?

-it's a glitch that the system sent you your AP bands. You're not suppose to get those until after you activate your AP

-since you didn't receive your AP sliders, you likely won't get them. They were out of sliders Feb/March and I haven't seen anyone from that time say they've received there's later in the mail, including me when I got my AP in Feb. If the glitch wouldn't have sent you your bands back in march and shipped when you activated your AP, you would've received the slider as since about April those with AP's have gotten the slider in their box

-you can ask at guest service, but likely you won't get the slider. I've asked as have others and it's been no luck

-you don't get the AP car sticker with your magicbands. You get them (if you ever get them) a month or two after you activate your pass

The car magnet is random. Some people get them right away, some never do. We both got ours after we renewed the first time.

Very strange and you're definitely in the minority.

I'm a Florida resident as well and have never had the system send me my magic band as soon as I bought the AP. I wish it did. It's always been after it's activated.

I've never asked for the sliders at a resort but I asked at MK guest service and had no luck

Annual Passholders only started getting MagicBands spring 2014.

I have had MagicBands since they came out, was part of the resort test the first day. I have never been able to customize my AP MB until after the AP was activated or renewed. I have had a regular AP and the last year a FL AP. I've always gotten sliders. We have randomly gotten magnets, some of us do, some not and never on any kind of known timing with our AP. I think you have been very lucky.

We, too, got our AP bands before we activated them on our last trip. After our trip a few weeks ago, we received another set, with sliders, then a week or so later we received the magnet!

We've received magnets every year we've had AP's. The last ones were different than this years.

Are you sure your first set wasn't due to staying on site?

If you were offsite then that's very strange. But I'm willing to bet you stayed on site and those mbs before were your on site bands with your AP bands coming after your trip

I think what he's saying is that the first MB you got before you activated were not AP MagicBands but for your hotel reservation. The set you got weeks later with the sliders were your AP MagicBands.

Our discussion has been that the normal timeline is you can get your AP MB after you activate.

We renewed ours in March. We both got sliders and car magnets. Usually, I am not that lucky. Must have been due to DH, who has good luck

So everyone who stays on site gets bands, as well anyone who is an AP member gets a free set of bands. The only difference with the AP bands is you get the AP sliders (if their not out of stock), other than that their the exact same, like all magic bands are. OK, I 'do' understand, except don't get 'why' on the second set !! They send exact set of bands and the sliders are completely separate. Why not just send the sliders?? Disney is not known for spending extra $$'s for no reason!!

Well the AP mbs and on site mbs are built into the price you're paying.

You get a mb every time you stay on site and if you're an AP you get 1 AP every time you get a new AP or every time you renew

I haven't received a new slider or card since 2015. When I renewed my AP at guest services in Feb they said you don't get a new card every year, you just keep using the old one.

Nope. You need a new card each year because they are dated on the back. Have had AP for many years and always given a new card.

Right now mine says 2016-2017. Every time I use for parking or a discount, they turn it over and check the date, and sometimes asked for my ID to match my name (GR wrote my first name on back). If I try to use this card next year after I renew for anything they can turn me down.

I used my old (2015) AP discount card every day for meals and souvenirs on my recent week-long trip (June 6-13). They looked at the back of my AP card and my license with no problems.

I disagree.

- GR have often screwed our stuff up and given bad info, and same reported here.

- You could have brought a completely expired AP and gotten full discounts by the way it was handled.

I am hoping in the future they go the Six Flags route and your AP card has to be scanned to access any benefits. And Six Flags can tell if you entered the park, so if you try to use someone else's card that is not there, no benefits.
