Order up your Olive Garden before Thanksgiving and Christmas...

I think the ones by us have always been closed on both days.

Nothing says Happy Thanksgiving more than Olive Garden.

Well, some jobs do require employees to work holidays. I worked 42 consecutive Thanksgivings until I retired. And I was thankful for the restaurants that were open on Thanksgiving as my employers always had a catered Thanksgiving meal brought in for those who were working.
But I have to admit, I had no idea Olive Garden had been open on Thanksgiving. But I know folks who work in the restaurant industry and Thanksgiving is one of their biggest days.
Anyone remember Christmas 1988 when Dennys decided to close and give their employees Christmas off, only to discover many of their restaurants didn't even had locks on their doors since they were normally open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

What do you order in advance for holiday meals ?

Take out and delivery as usual until closing time the night before.

I think this has been the case for many years as someone else mentioned. Likely it was a slow day for them considering their menu, so more of a business decision than anything else.

Personally, I don't have a problem with any business deciding to close OR open on holidays any more than any other day.

If they're closed, I won't go there.
If they're open, I *MAY* go there.
