I guess my first question is, is the order ahead dining worth the effort? Does it actually save any time? We have an 8:05 PPO ADR at BOG and I thought we could expedite things by having everyone place their order when we are on the bus.

Second, we have 2 separate room reservations for our party, everyone has dining plan, and one big reservation for BOG. How would we order ahead using DDP if we each need to use our own credits? Or can each party place their own order even though there is only one reservation, does it not all have to be done together?

Same question I guess if there is no ADD anyways, would we each need to order ahead ourselves to be sure credits are taken from the right room?

Ordering ahead at BoG does save some time, but in your case, you can't do it, so it doesn't matter. It sounds like you have ONE reservation for all of you, so if you preorder, whoever is the lead on the reservation will "pay" for everything with the credits from their room.

You could still do it and just have the other room "pay" for another meal, but if everyone doesn't order a meal at BoG, you'd have to remember who owes for what.

That’s exactly what I was afraid of. Which actually won’t work because as it is we already need the other party to use their credits for one of our meals so we can effectively transfer some of theirs to us, as they are leaving super early on departure day and won’t use any that day so we want to use them up. Unfortunately the ADR is linked to me. Oh well, worth a try!

The other party can use their credits to pay. It doesn't matter if the reservation is linked to you. The only rule with pre-orders is that only one single method of payment can be used. Anyone on the reservation can actually pay.

Thanks for this clarification. Not sure why I thought the lead on the reservation had to pay. Hope this helps the OP.
