Does someone know where I can get a good deal on orange lakes? I need a 2 or 3 bedroom. I also wanted to know if the new lazy river will be ready for this summer.
I have talked to Orange lake and was told that river country water park will open late May/June.
Sorry I dont know anything about a good price for June. Perhaps someone else will have some ideas. I have read on the orange lake web site that if you go through an owner referral program (an Orange lake owner has to refer you and you must attend a time share presentation) you can get a discounted price. I have no idea of that discount. If interested , there are some orange lake owners here on dis. If you happen to purchase during this time share presentation, then the orange lake money earns some funds for the referral.
www.redweek.com - you have to pay www.tug2.net - you need to look at the classified, on the BBS the last minute rentals, and the owner referrals (on the main page)
good suggestion about referrals and we could refer people
but if one was going to buy timeshare they should look at the resale market unless they wanted to get into the new River Island section of OLCC which will probably not show up resale for a while, and even then OLCC does have a ROFR which they rarely use NOW, but could easily use it on River Island units, which they would buy back and resale
Last week I called OLCC to get pricing for the owner referral progran and it turns out it would cost almost $170 US more per week to go through this program (for a one bedroom unit for our check in date) vs. RCI extra vacations
the current owner referral i am aware of is a 1 or two bedroom unit for a total of 166.13 for 3 nights and 4 days, i have booked 3 for my family members already
Goodness, that is an incredible deal for someone who is interested in 3 nights. But we need to stay for a week, so the price increases substantailly for the last 4 nights.
But again, what an incredible price to be able to stay at a RCI gold crown property for 3 nights!!!
they would make that back with the "attempt" to sell you either the full package or the latitudes package ( which is way overpriced at 1195$ )
they are playing the numbers game when they offer those deals....they might sell 5 - 10% in slow times like january and 20% in "hot" times ( prime weeks ) of these people thus making up for the other 90% since they buy at the inflated developer pricing

"Hello" I read your post about referring someone to orange lake and get the great deal on the stay. Are you still able to do this?? We have been looking into buying a timeshare but would like to see this one first. It looks to be alot of fun.
Thanks.... My email is sbelanger2@msn.com
