Have just become interested in renting a weekend at either place. Anyone stayed at both and can compare/contrast? How do the pool areas compare.
Thanks

I havent' stayed at either but have been looking at places in Ginn Resort. The only thing that scares me is that I keep reading that there is a deposit because they run on a cashless system and that they do not give receipts. sounds like a nickle and dimer place. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Sounds like they walk around offering things like drinks and such and it is placed on this card that no one knows the balance until its time to leave.

Reunion is not like that at all. We stayed for 10 days last year and are headed back for 18 days this May. It is a beautiful resort and the cashless system is wonderful. You never have to worry about taking your wallet with you to the water park, hotel etc. In fact we lengthened our trip this year so we could spend more time at the resort, as much as we enjoy Disney and our beautiful pool home we didn't get to spend as much time using the resort amenities as we would have liked. This time we are going to check out the spa and the guys are going to play some golf...the countdown is on.

I am sure wherever you stay you will have a wonderful time.

Question about the Reunion.. How far from Seaworld and Universal is it. I am extremely interested in booking a unit here but we do plan to venture to other parks as well as disney and it looks like it could be 30min from other parks.

it a short drive to all the parks from Reunion (if you leave Reunion passing the waterpark, you will see a new toll road to your right that takes you right onto the I4 - it costs 25 cents), you can be at the entrance to Disney in about 10 mins, Sea World is approx 20 mins.

I personally would not stay anywhere else, there is nothing to compare to Reunion, it is fabulous.

I agree with Karen, the drive is not far at all. I can't remember how long it took us to get Seaworld last year, but it was not bad. We had a 1yr old, a 3yr old and a 4yr old and went back and forth (naps and a swim every afternoon) to Disney everyday with no issues. My sister in law were talking this week about driving to and from Disney and what a breeze it was. We can't wait to go back. We too would not stay anywhere else.
