Anyone ever eaten at this restaurant?
I could only find 3 other reviews on another site and 2 of them were scathing.
The views from the website look fabulous.
I was thinking of trying the Sunday brunch.
Is it worth it?

This restaurant has been around at least 30 years. I do not know how many management changes it may have been through. I have not eaten here in a number of years. My opinion of it is that it has an awesome view and the food is good, not outstanding best you ever had , but good. The prices are moderate/high for what you get. The atmosphere and attire are casual.

I agree with Wexler. It's good, not fabulous. It's a distance from Disneyland, just so you know.

There is a restaraunt just up the same hill from it called Orange Hill which truly is fabulous. It's maybe a bit more pricey, and more dressy, but really wonderful. 5 star type dining atmosphere. It also has an outside patio with firepits and the the same outstanding, if not better, view than Orange co. mining.

HTH

speaking of restaurants...is the Original Pancake house still around? What is the overall feeling of this place now?

Thanks for the replies, I may try it out just because it is a little more casual.
My AAA maps are small and from reading all these boards I have a feeling the distance is not done justice in the LA/SoCal area. I figured I could get there in half an hour.

I think barring any major traffic problem that you could get there in half and hour and I agree with the previous poster that Orange Hills is a superior restaurant. I have been to Orange Hills quite a few times, I have attended a wedding there as well as a few dinners, including, (yes I will date myself here), we rented a limo and took it there for dinner before my senior prom in 1985! I have never been disapointed in Orange Hills

enjoy! Not sure they have a website, but don't worry... even if they don't... I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Darn. Now I want to go... :lmao:

I love the "Original Pancake House". It is on Lincoln, east of St. College. It is still there and has not changed a bit in the last 30 years. Many of it's staff are long time employees.

It's a great place for breakfast!

Since we're talking about restaurants...back in the late 70's early 80's there was a restaurant called Belisle (I think) that served oversized portions and had been around since the 30's (I think) located in a godawful bright pink building. Is it stilll around? If not did it move? When?

denyd ~ I dont think its there anymore, but I could be wrong, we used to go there alot when we lived in CA and it was just down the street from my grandparents house!! I'd like to know for sure if its still around, I know there is a big hotel now across the street from where its is or used to be!!

When I started reading this thread, I thought about Belisle's and how much I enjoyed eating there, wondering if it is still around. Then is was mentioned! It truly is a small world after all! Where was it? Maybe I'll drive by and check it out. (We used to go after working the night shift and I never drove, so that's why I don't know where it is.)

I wanna say its at Chapman and Harbour, but dont quote me!! I could be way off, its been quite along time since I have been by there!!!

It closed about 5 years ago.
