Would it make more sense to drive to one of the monorail resorts from Pop, get a lift over to the MK and then back to the resort and into the car?? We dont really plan on staying really late at MK as we have 3 little ones going. I am afraid of the buses between Pop and MK from all I have read here. We have a stroller (umbrella-ish) but it just seems like a nightmare of sorts. Thanks for the input!

You can only park at the resorts for up to 3 hrs if you're not staying there.

The other option is to drive to the TTC and then take the monorail to MK. Personally, I'd rather go by bus to MK because the bus stop is right at MK gates, and from the bus stop it's only a short walk to the turnstiles.

The buses from POPto the parks are great. The only time you may have a problem is at park closing. Getting a stroller on and off the bus isn't hard and the buses drop you off at the front gate of MK.

We stayed at the Pop in October and the buses were great. I loved it, we never moved the car the entire week we were there.

I have to agree with the above post as well. We stayed at Pop from 5/2 until 5/11 and never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus at Pop. When it came to closing at MK the MK CM's always doubled up the buses.
I also heard that last week they even tripled them up for the Pop guest.
We traveled with a double folding stroller that I was able to keep either beside me or under a seat.

Doesn't this only apply to people who are not staying onsite? When I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, I parked several times at the Contemporary. Every time, I was waved through as if it were my home resort.

No, this applies to everyone regardless of which resort you're staying at. Parking at the monorail resorts gets very tight sometimes. During high seasons there are not enough parking spots for you and the people sleeping there.

We went to Kona several times last month. We stopped for the guard, told them we were coming in for breakfast. We received the three hour pass about half the time.

Strange, we were never stopped by the guard. As soon as he/she saw the BWI pass on my dashboard, they waved for me to come in. Perhaps this was because it wasn't a high season?

I really think the buses are easy to use. We went when out little one was 18months and anytime I was standing with him someone offered us a seat. This only happened a couple of times anyhow. I used a baby sling and it worked great. While we waited for the bus I would just put him on and then when we sat down he was held snuggly to me and was not tossed about with any sudden movements. It also freed up my hands making the stroller easy to manuever. A sling is much faster to get on and holds a larger child than a baby bjorn or a snuggli. It also worked great for waiting in line and keeping him close at attractions. When not in use it stuffs in a bag or we also hung it over the stroller to protect from the sun. I hate using a car a disney. I love using all of the transportations systems.

I have 3 kids also (5,4 and 4 mo) and I normally drive to the parks, but MK I always take the bus since the buses take you close to the gate. Otherwise, you have to drive to MK, then Tram to TTC then ferry or monorail to MK.

We have stayed at pop at easter & the bussing was very good. Yes at mk close there is a wait for a bus but they have buses coming as soon as one is full there is another there .
