We have never been and are planning to spend the day there tomorrow. I looked at their website and it looks awesome. Has anyone been there that can tell me about it? Also wanting to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Once someone told me they went and said they had to wait a long time.

It's really nice! If I'm not mistaken some stores are outlet some are not, this Gaylord Opry Land Hotel is right next to it, depending on where you park (parking lots are huge) you can walk over there, it's free to get in and it's an amazing hotel, there's a boat ride through it, it's that big

It's an outlet type mall for the most part. You get some unique stores in there, I know they have an Opry/Nashville based shop now. Rainforest Cafe tomorrow will have a wait for sure tomorrow, so if you can make a reservation. It's going to be crazy busy tomorrow.

We have been to this mall, though we have the sister...Concord mill very close to our home and go often. These are very nice and you can fine lots of good deals and some fun stores. The time we were there, we went to RFC upon arrival and there was like a 2 hour wait, but we could go do the mall while we waited. It took us a couple hours to do the mall and we returned at the requested time and were seated quickly.

It's a great mall. You can easily spend the day there. In addition to shops, there are several restaurants, Dave and Busters and a movie theater. I would anticipate a very long wait at RFC tomorrow and the crowds at the mall to be as crazy as Christmas. It is tax free weekend here for back to school shopping. Just want you to be prepared for the crowds!

There is a Lego store next to the Disney store and Build A Bear Workshop across the hall from that. Rainforest Cafe, Aquarium, and Cliff Jumper restaurants are all owned by Landry. PP mentioned the Dave and Buster. There is also a 50's diner that does burgers, fries and shakes. A train the kids (and adults) can ride that drives down the walkway. You'll find the train near the food court (yes a regular food court on top of the sit downs).

I usually park near the Bass Pro Shop. There is also valet parking available. Don't know the charge. If you haven't been in a Bass Pro Shop, go in and check out the aquarium with river fish. You can not enter the mall through Bass Pro. That was changed when they rebuilt the mall after the flooding in 2010.

As PP mentioned, not everything is outlet. In fact, I didn't find that many when we went on a shopping spree last September. (I've been in past months to the Disney store and a few other shops) Know what you want to shop for and set a budget. Almost every store has BIG sale ads out so it is easy to go overboard. As I tell DD16 when we go, if you don't like that top, there is another clothing store down the way. I do enjoy the VfOutlet store. It carries almost every name brand. And the shoe stores are great! We went into Shoe Carnival (or similar), found a great shoe, but it was not in the right size. Walked down a bit and went into the Shoe brand store and found the shoe. Price was similar.

Wear comfy shoes! There are many sofas and comfy chairs to sit in along the paths. Bring your own stroller, if needed. Even though you can rent them, you might as well bring what you know.

Need a quick snack? Stop at the cookie store. If you order the kids pack, it's about $5. You get 4 small cookies, a juice box and a small toy. DS received a finger puppet.

Final piece of advice for Opry Mills, grab a few of the small paper maps when you enter. Easy to get turned around (DH says it's worse than WDW parks).

And yes, the Opry Hotel is right next door. For all the years we have been here (on and off 7 ), we have never gone inside, but I have seen pictures. There is a boat you can ride in the lobby. There is a fee.

Thank you all for the wonderful info! After reading about the tax free weekend, we are going to go Monday instead. My DH tries to avoid crazy crowds! ;)
