Some of my cousins cant speak for themselves, they follow along in their parents opinions, it really irks me, even if they might have their own thoughts on a matter they just nod and agree.

Do you follow along with your parents opinions or are you not afraid to state your own in a conversation ?

For me, I can state my own opinion. I dont have a problem with it. I dont always agree with my parents.

I always have my own opinion. Just because my parents think something is right/wrong doesn’t mean I will agree with them. We agree on most things, but not always.

:)

I have my own opinion, but I happen to agree with my mom 95% of the time.
Maybe they're the same way as me.

I have my own opinion, but I agree with my mom most of the time. My dad and I have total opposite opinions, so he always chalks it up to my mom "brainwashing" me.
Newsflash dearest father, just because:
- I think gays deserve equal rights.
- I think the government has no say what goes in and out of my body.
- I don't give a dang about race.
doesn't mean I'm brainwashed. I'm old enough to form my own opinions now.

Im not afraid to speak my own opinion on things but I agree with my parents 98%.Both of my parents have the same stances on politics and things but I usually agree with my dad when him and my mom have difering opinions

Same here,
I mostly agree with them, but sometimes we bicker about things we don't agree on.

I have no opinion in my father's household. I live in a dictatorship.

I definitely have my own opinions because there are quite a few things my family and I don't see eye to eye on -but I can't really say them most of the time without getting an earful. According to my mother, she's always right because, of course, she's older than I am. Therefore, if I have a different opinion from her, then I'm automatically wrong. And it's pretty much the same way with my dad too.

Most of the time I just choose to keep what I think to myself. They aren't going to change, but neither am I. And I'm stubborn enough not to let them 'convince' me that I'm wrong and change my beliefs.

I've always had my own opinion, whether or not it went with how my family felt.
If I did, I'd be a horribly racist republican.
My mom is less racist (but still super republican).

I dunno.

i have my own opinions. i can be influenced by others, but i don't just go along with people's opinions. i think about what people say and come to my own conclusions and opinions.

When I was young I just followed by parents' lead because I didn't know any better. Now that I'm older though, I usually disagree with my parents.

They know I view the political and religious institutions differently, and we often argue/debate about it.

Me and my grandma usually agree though! How weird is it that my grandmother is more open minded than my parents?

I always disagree with my mum hahaha.
Like today, she told me off for not being nice to an old lady because the old lady was horrible to me. She was like "respect your elders" and I said that I'd only respect them if they respect me - it's not a one-way thing.

So, to answer the question, I have my own opinions xD

Ugh. Same here.
My parents automaticly think I have the same opinions as them.
So when we get into politics or something when we are out with someone they go "oh, Sophie, she agrees with us." then they get me started and I completly disagree. Its rather annoying because they think I should always agree with them. Sure, for some things I do, but a lot of the time I don't.

It depends on what it is. If it's something I feel strongly about, and they think that something is wrong, I will definitely speak up.

I have always been a very independent person.
I usually always have a different opinion than my parents.
That's just how I am, I almost always disagree with my parents.
I speak my mind...especially around my parents. lol

Most of the time I have the exact opposite opinion as my parents.

i usually agree with my dad, but in not afraid to say what i think.
