Last year I didn't buy the car I really wanted to allow for a Disney holiday.
Next year I really can't go to WDW so should I...

Get a new luxury bathroom installed
Have a two week dream trip to Alberta Canada?

decisions decisions :confused3

Carol I have learnt at first hand this year that you do not know what is round the corner so me I would say s*d the bathroom and take the trip of your dreams (wherever it may be)

That's a tough one, Carol. A luxury bathroom would definitely make a big difference on a day-to-day basis but a dream holiday is a dream holiday and I'd probably opt for that.

TBH what I'd really do is give the bathroom a cheaper makeover and try to go on the dream holiday as well! But then I'm greedy...

If your current bathroom is in a state and needs something doing I'd do that

But if you can live and wash in the bathroom I'd go to Cananda :thumbsup2

A bathroom would add value to your house ... but won't be of use after you've sold it. The memories of a holiday will last a lifetime - go to Canada.

I think I would go with getting the new bathroom as it would last longer.

Then you can sit in your bubble bath, candles on, glass of wine in hand and look through brouchures and plan your next hol!

That sounds like a good idea :thumbsup2

I would do a cheap makeover in the bathroom and then go to WDW next year!

I would go to Canada, though I am not really bothered about spending money on the house yet. maybe when I am older I would choose the bathroom.

What do you mean by a luxury bathroom. You can get some good basic white suites at not too much expense, I would want both also!!!!

Definietly agree with doing both.

You would be amazed at what lovely bathrooms you can buy now at a reasonable price. Luxury doesn't have to cost the earth - just time spent searching out the best buy. A white bath is a white bath! Save money of the main bits and spend extra on the little touches.

You never know with some clever shopping you could do both. If not.... before kids I'd have gone for the bathroom - now with kids - sod it - I'd go for the holiday every time! :rotfl2:

Hi

I would say no to the bathroom and go to Canada. I would also try to think of ways to spruce it up for cheap.

The way dh and I look at things is. Children will always thank you and enjoy holidays and especially spending some quality time together rather than a new bathroom. As long as the house is kept clean and its liveable we will always choose FL over spending loads of money doing the house up.

We tend to decorate 1-2 rooms per year, but we always ensure its done cheaply but looks nice. We basically repainted our living room the same colour and layed down laminate flooring. Next I want to change our kitchen. Instead of a new kitchen units we are changing the door handles and the kitchen surface and paint the walls.

So go for the holiday as no: 1. If you can afford to spruce up the bathroom for cheap go for it.

I would say go on the holiday, but then i am known to be a little holiday obsessed.

Just think, when you get home you could spruce up your bathroom with lovely prints of your Canada holiday! :teeth:

Sara. :)

I'd have to go with the bathroom. It's something real, where as if you spent your money on a holiday the only thing you get out of it is the fun of it, and if the holiday goes wrong then you get nothing but some time off..

Just think of all the soaps you can put into it. :teeth:
