Opinions Please! Narcoossee's or V&A - Queen Victorias Room

Currently, I'm booked at Narcoossee's in case I couldn't get V&A Chef's table. I called today and the Chef's Table isn't available. However, they do have availability in the Queen Victoria's Room. DH & I will be celebrating our 14th anniversary (surprise for him). Which location should we choose? My ADR for Narcoossee's is for 7:45 so we can watch Wishes from outside the GF after dinner. Thoughts/opinions...? If we go with V&A, Queen Victoria's room, what time should we book dinner so we can see Wishes?

IMHO...this isn't a hard decision to make...MOST definitely V&A Victoria Room. For a special event, or heck, anytime you want one of the best meals of your life (with the price to match), V&A is the way to go. We try to go every trip if we can get a ressie. At Narcossees, the food is fine, the view is great, but the restaurant can be very loud at times making a romatic evening a little more difficult.

If you do V&A and want to see the fireworks afterwards I would plan on the earlier seating. The second seating would make it impossible to see the fireworks unless they were at 11 pm. I hope this helps a little.

I couldn't agree more with the previous post. V&A, no contest at all.

I'd take V&A at least a hundred times over Narcoosees, even if it meant missing the fireworks. V&A has seating times; you don't get to pick. If they have availability at the earlier seating; you should be done in time to walk out to watch Wishes.

I've been at both and for that special event - V&A! I went for my birthday last year and it was the meal of a lifetime. Just know you will spend a lot of time there - even though the courses seem small there is a lot of food to eat. You will certainly be treated like royalty!

Thanks for the input. However, I ended up telling DH what I was doing and let him choose where we will eat. It basically came down to him having to pack and wear a jacket - so he decided on Narcoossee's. We will eventually eat at V&A but it will probably be once we start travelling by ourselves (no DD).

The romance would be lost anyway when we got back to our room with DD and MIL waiting for us...
