Opinions please - CP and Akershus?

I need your opinions please. . .

I can make my ADR's on Monday and am trying to finalize my plans.

We would like to try Crystal Palace - probably for lunch (but breakfast or dinner is fine too). Any opinions on which meal is better there? Is there a large difference in which characters are there at the different meals?

Same question for Akershus - I was thinking about doing lunch but would be willing to do dinner instead. Opinions on which is better? (We are hoping to meet Ariel in her human form so we are not interested in breakfast there because it usually seems to be Belle.)

More info. . .we will be on DDP unless there are major changes to the plan.
Other planned meals are breakfast at CRT and CM (late breakfasts if possible)
Dinner at Ohana and Mama Melrose Fantasmic package

We did dinner at both Akershus and CP. CP I would not repeat -- the food was not that good -- absolutely no flavor. Akershus had much better food.

At Akershus, dd had the main picture taken with Belle in her yellow dress. We did have Ariel as a bride, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Aurora. I was a little disappointed because we didn't see Mulan! Oh well.

We have had dinner at Crystal Palace and I really enjoyed the food. It was a typical buffet, but I thought it had good selections. I believe Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet are always there for both lunch and dinner.

We had lunch at Akershus in Dec. and my husband and I really didn't like the food at all. My husband had the lamb and hated it. We didn't like the Norwegian selections. The only good part was the dessert plate. It was wonderful! For our main picture, it was Ariel in her blue dress. Walking around was Aurora, Belle in her blue/white dress, Jasmine and Cinderella. I have heard of Mulan and Snow White being there, so I think the princesses at Akershus changes alot.


Our absolute favorite place to eat is 'Ohana's. You will love it. My husband was trying to talk me into letting us eat there twice in Sept!

(Just posted this on a thread where somebody was looking for Aurora!)
We did the Storybook lunch at the end of April and Sleeping Beauty was the princess the children had their photo taken with before being seated for lunch.
As I understand it this changes daily and is not published in advance.
Whichever princess features for the photograph does not then visit the tables. The princesses that visited the tables on our day were Ariel, Snow White, Belle, and Cinderella (rare I'm told). We all had a great time and the food was great too, especially the dessert served family style. For lunch the starter is served buffet style.

We also did the CP lunch (for our younger daughter) the buffet was delicious, it wasn't too busy so the queue was fine. I loved the salads and the Salmon as well as the carvery flank steak. My girls skipped right over the mac n cheese and ate what we ate (as usual at home). The desserts were great too. The CM's were great there too, they cleared used buffet plates quickly, offered plenty of drinks and kept us well informed re: the characters.

Hi. I've done all 3 meals at the Crystal Palace. I like them all but my favorite is breakfast! The french toast is soooooo good!

We had dinner at Akershus our last trip and thought we wouldn't like the food but it was good - dessert was awesome! Our waiter was really good too and my girls liked the cold buffet. My girls had their picture taken with Belle out front and we saw Ariel (w/legs), Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora. It was a really nice dinner.

Both places for breakfast are awesome and you can get into the park earlier than anyone else.
Ariel was at our breakfast in Norway so dont count it out...it is not a for sure thing that you will see her at any meal....just luck I guess

We have been to Crystal place We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they are all great!I believe Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet are always there for both lunch and dinner.Go for it, it is really wonderful restaurant. Where u can have a delicious food.
