I am looking at a few trips in 2013 for a family vacation and wondering if anyone has opinions on timing of these trips between summer vs Christmas holiday season based on experiences:

Since they offer these in summer and also at Christmas holidays, assume there is probably similar mix of families with school age children. I assume traveling at Christmas season could be harder and more expensive relative to airfare (would alo require booking further in advance to help get better airfare choices).
Didn't know if anyone on this discussion board would have any other input around these relative to timings or other considerations when thinking about say August vs December that we might want to be aware of.
