Thinking about reserving for lunch/dinner. Can anyone share their experiences? I've heard good things about the food at Hollywood and Vine...is it still good? How is the character experience? Thanks!

We did lunch there 2 years ago. Food was 'meh' but we all got enough we weren't hungry, and the character interaction was GREAT. My girls were right at that age then, and LOVED those characters (dd#1 June and dd#2 JoJo) so it was perfect. They danced with them, spent lots of time taking pics at our table. So, even though the food was only so-so IMO, I'd recommend it if you've got little ones just because my girls loved it SO much! HTH!

My girls loved it. We did lunch and with all that goes on (singing & dancing) I don't even remember what I ate. But I think I would have remembered if it was really bad. Certainly one we will do again but I think we will try breakfast next time. I think if your boys like Playhouse Disney it is a must. They will have great fun!

Agreed. Food was okay but the character interaction was wonderful! We had lunch there and to see DS's eyes when Leo and June came in was great. Lots of dancing, picture posing, hugs, etc. If your kids are Playhouse Disney fans they will love it. If I were going for a character meal and didn't care about which characters, I'd personally choose Crystal Palace!

I'm 22 and have no kids. I love the Play and Dine. DFi really enjoyed enjoyed lunch. The chracters are great. It's not over powering or anything and they don't make you get up and dance if you don't want to. I want to say that they did the songs and dance every 15 minutes or so. I will say some kids that saw the characters were about to come to their table, but got pulled to do the dance got a little to a lot upset about them not coming.

Overall, lunch is great. Breakfast is okay it's just standard breakfast fare and I wasn't impressed. Dinner is NOT a character meal, but still good.

We had breakfast there last year and really loved it. The food was good and the character interaction was great! I've heard others say that breakfast is way better then lunch. If you get an early ADR you could eat before rope drop.

One of the better meals for character interaction. My girls loved getting up and dancing with the characters rather than just sitting waiting for the characters to arrive at the table.

My DS was afraid of the characters there. Leo & June's heads are huge! Plus the music was VERY loud. He was miserable.
