We are seriously considering going during the Magic your way free dining deal and try out a lot of the places we probably wouldn't normally go to. This would be a 5 night hotel stay, 4 days in the park deal (1 day each park, no hopping). Party of 4, DH, me, DS 8 and DD 2. (she is not included on the free dining as she doesn't get a ticket)

** ASD = Adult sit down, CSD = Child sit down, ACS = Adult counter service, etc.**

Arrival day - Character dinner at 1900 park Fare uses 2 ASD & 1 CSD DD is free, $87 or so with tax & tip

Day one Epcot (EMH evening)- Dinner LeCellar uses 2 ASD & 1 CSD (DD will eat with me), $150 or so with tax & tip
Haven't decided on what counter service at Epcot yet, thinking maybe tangeriene cafe and use 2 ACS & 2 CCS, $40 with tax

Day two Animal Kingdom - Character breakfast at Restarauntasaurus = 2 ASD & 1 CSD DD is free, $60 with tax & tip
Lunch - Flame tree BBQ uses 2 ACS & 2 CCS, $35 with tax

Day three Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Rays uses 3 ACS to feed the four of us $50 with tax
***** see below

Day four MGM - lunch Pizza Planet uses 2 ACS & 1 CCS, $35 with tax (I'll have mine and DS salad (he hates it) DD will have my pizza)
Dinner - Sci-Fi - uses 2 ASD and 1 CSD = DD will share with me or DH.

Can't decide what to use our other SD meal for - between CRT for breakfast (very hard to get plus I would like to see the park opening), Chef Mickey's for breakfast at 7:00 so we can be at MK for opening, or 1900 Park Faire to see Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter. Only problem with breakfast at 1900 Park Faire is they don't start serving until 8:00 that gives us just and hour to get from there (eating breakfast) to MK for opening. Or maybe save it until the next day and eat there before we head home.

If I have figured correctly that leaves us with 1 ACS meal to use if we need it.

What are your opinions?

TIA

looks yummy to me!!

Just a note - we NEVER do breakfast first thing in the AM and try and make park opening. I have done it in the past and it ruins the relaxation of the meal - and those character meals are expensive. We now go before park opening ready and waiting at the gate (maybe eat a nutri-grain bar and some coffee, juice) we then hit the rides for an hour or so and head to our late breafast/brunch meal around 10:20 or so. It is so much nicer and we are so hungry that the buffets are great. Also - it takes away any need for 3 meals which can get costly.

That is a good idea. The first year we did Chef Mickeys at 7:00 and made it in plenty of time to the park but we had to get up so early in order to be at breakfast. We did Crystal Palace at 8:00 AM last trip which we didn't get to see the park opening.....did get some great pictures of the castle though without any people around. Just didn't feel the same not seeing the opening ceremony.

The other option would be to do Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner.....will ask DS what he thinks.....kind of hoping he will decide to do the breakfast at Park Faire the morning we start to leave.....that way we could make the latest seating, have time to load up and everything....not have to be so rushed. He really wants to meet Mary Poppins so he might go for this.....we'll see. All our meals will be through the free dining plan except breakfast at the room. Not expecting to pay very much out of pocket for meals. The quote we got is for under $1000 - that's room, meals, & tickets.....figuring up what these meals would run is about $700 so I think it is a really good deal, kind of like getting the park tickets for free.
