What are the best hotels in the Walt Disney World area for under $100?

The Country Inn and Suites in Downtown Disney Were clean and comfortable. We stayed there for a night last yr the rate was 79.00.

I second Country Inn and Suites Calypso Cay location. Their whole chain seems to be well run.

Can you give us some more info? How many in your party? What type of accomodations do you like - room, suite, etc.? Almost every hotel in Orlando is under $100/nite so you've got tens of thousands of rooms to pick from.

For $100/nite or less, you can also do a rental condo or pool home which I would highly recommend. IMO no hotel offers the space or amenities available at the rental homes.

Just came back from staying at the Travelodge Maingate East (note this is the Maingate East one, I don't know about the others in Kissimee).

It was around $55 per night. I was nervous cause I had seen some pretty crappy reviews from earlier in the year. They must have updated the place because it was FANTASTIC for the money. It was a budget hotel but friendly staff, allowed us early check-in and late check-out, concierge desk, etc. Clean all around including **** and span pool area with supplied towels. A bar/restaurant outside the lobby area that was open till 2am. Convenient shuttle service too to all the parks including Universal.

Rooms were basic, but like I said CLEAN and they had a small fridge and microwave in them as well.

Hubby and I are staying there again in Fall.
