Hello All

My husband and I are always willing to try something different. We have never ate in a French restaurant before and have always thought about eating at one of the French restaurants in the WS. I have been hesitant because of the varying opinions with these two restaurants. What are your experiences with these two restaurants.

Thanks Staci

We've never been to Bistro de Paris, it's a bit too upscale for what we want when we visit WDW, but DH and I have dined at Chefs de France. It was one of the best meals we've had at WDW. The food and service were both fantastic. The setting is more casual than Bistro, but Chefs is still a nice restaurant. We are looking forward to going back. :)

I think Chefs is a beautiful restaurant. The cheese & desserts are quite good, but we were completely disappointed with other apps & entrees there. The food was well prepared, but bland & lifeless.
I haven't tried Bistro due to my disappointment with Chefs.

I have eaten in both restaurants....although it has been at least 6 months since I have done so. Personally, I thought Chefs was lovely....service was good although a little self impressed. Food was good, not great, but good. Bistro I have not been impressed with in a while, it is a like a French fast food to me. These of course are my opinions, I have to love it to be wowed.

We have eaten at Chefs de France and thought it was fantastic :thumbsup2
We are heading back again in June. It was 1 of 2 places DW really wanted to go eat again. The others she didn't care but this was #1 on her list. I am a bit of a picky eater and we also have 2 DD's and we all loved it. I looked at the Bistro, I don't want to dress up to go eat and also I thought the food looked a little too fancy for me & DD's. DW would enjoy it though.
Try Chefs, you like. :teeth:

Good luck, YO

I have not been to Chefs but dined at Bistro last Sept. There were two couples and a set of grandparents were nice enough to watch the kids so we could enjoy an adults nght out! We were not impressed and frankyl, disappointed with our $150+ dinner. We live 20 minutes outside of NYC so used to excellent NYC dining at anytime so maybe we are a bit spoiled. The dinner was over $300 for the 4 of us, the service was lackluster and then food was nothing to write home about. Felt it was 'stuffy' and the people downstairs at Chefs looked like they were having a much better time than we did! Would pick a winderful dinner at Spoodles or Flyish Fish anyday over Chefs - go for Bistro - we'll try it next visit in May! :thumbsup2

Never done Chefs; have been to Bistro three times. It is very elegant, with great service, but the food is only very good, but not outstanding. At the end of the day, it's attempt at a fine French restaurant inside a theme park and that is only going to be so successful. The top resort restaurants (Jiko, Citrico's, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish, Blue Zoo, etc.) are much better than Bistro.
