We will be in WDW for 9 night in August. We have the DDP.

I have Boma reserved on my older daughters 11th birthday. My other 2 kids are turning 6 and 5 a few days later.

Do you think this is a good choice? This will be our first time at the restaurant.

We have had breakfast there and loved it. There are no characters but we don't have small kids and were there to eat. We have ADR's for dinner at Boma in September and are wondering how the dinner is.

we have been going every yr for about 4 now (to Boma) our DD's 4&6 like it very much as do we. I really think there is something for everyone and love the atmosphere. ENJOY!

I've eaten Breakfast and Dinner at Boma and both were great. We celebrated my son's 4th birthday at Boma one August and he loved it. The staff was so nice and they brought ought a birthday cupcake for him. Everyone in our family loved having a huge choice of food to choose from and not your typical buffet food. It was all very unique and tasty. I recommend it.

We love, love, love Boma. Get there early and go out to the look-out and view the animals. There is also a drum lesson that the children love. The food at Boma is very good IMHO. :goodvibes

We've had dinner at Boma twice. I love it. We'll try breakfast there this Dec. Our granddaughters (ages 10 & 7, almost 11 & 8) were there with us in May 2009. Even the picky younger granddaughter found enough things that she enjoyed on the Boma buffet to fill up. In addition to all the variety of African foods, which I loved, they have macaroni & cheese, chicken nuggets, pita bread, fruit and enough desserts to well satisfy the kids. You do have to go through a cafeteria type line for the buffet so I could see that being a bit of a problem for anyone with an adult to young children ratio of less than one on one being a bit problematic.

Thanks everyone. It looks like we did make the right choice. I wanted to make sure there was something for everyone to eat. Thanks for the tip about getting their early to see the animal. We are going for dinner.

It's a must-do for us every trip. We're doing it twice this time around - once for breakfast, once for dinner. Totally worth it.

I like to warn people of the "tastes" they will encounter at Boma. We did NOT like it.
DH is an adventerous eater and I like to experiment but we were not expecting sweet foods.

We thought African spices were mainly hot or hot spicey...WRONG, they use many sweet flavors like cinnamon in ALL the dishes, including rub the meat with them.
So I was totatlly put off by this. Not to say foods weren't good, but they were all sweet. Meat was sweet, veggies, side dishes, all had a sweet underlying or overwhelming taste.
Now if you like this it will be wonderful for you, but I like my dinner to taste like dinner not dessert.

But like I said food was good, just not our taste.

We ate there for breakfast and dinner, and enjoyed it both times. We plan on going back during our next trip.

We're a family of pretty picky and certainly not exotic eaters. Yet, Boma is our favorite and must-do restaurant each trip. There truly is something for everyone and the desserts are the absolute best. We always come out so stuffed! Definitely, go a little early and walk out to the look-out area to see the animals. The CM's there are wonderful and very knowledgeable. AKL is a special place and Boma is wonderful. Enjoy!

We have gone for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was wonderful but dinner was ok. We like Jiko better for dinner but Boma dinner was not worth it.

We really like Boma....most of the dinner buffet is "American style" and not very "African"...they have enuogh "African flavors" to taste and sample....but most of it is pretty much "American Style" food...we really like it...the great thing about a buffet is that you can try different things and dont pay for each thing individually...I would try it....if you dont like the African flavors, you can stick the the "safer" stuff :) Either way , you wont be disappointed

We love Boma It's very unique not something you can find in your home town. If you don't know what something us just ask.
