Opinions on Boardwalk Villas-Standard view

We are probably staying at a 2 bedroom, plus one studio at Old Key West. I can change to Boardwalk-Standard view for a nominal amount. Can someone give me opinions on this? We have stayed Old Key West before, and know what to expect. But, have not stayed Boardwalk. We will be 7 adults, no kids. Is it really easily walkable to Epcot?? Are the standard villas far from everything?? Thanks for any advise!

Yes, it's walkable to Epcot. The Standard Views aren't far from everywthing, but a lot of people will tell you BWV has very long hallways and you can be a hike from the lobby area.

It's about a 10 minute walk east-ish.

It is an easy 10 - 15 minute walk to both Epcot and DHS from the BWV

See the legend box that tell you what the color codes mean? Look to the bottom of that, there's a paved path curving to the right that's blocked by the legend, that's to way to WS via the International Gateway.

This is for DVC points reservations. If you book standard through Disney, you typically get pool/garden.

We had a 1BD Villa standard view last trip. It was in that 1st section (far left of photo) facing the river that the boats take between DS and BW. It was not great location, but we were happy with it, as we were upgraded from a studio to a 1BD Villa!
