Opinions on a Dress **UPDATE** Dress added pg. 2

Thanks for your reply, mamacatnv!

Yes, it is hard enough to get what you really mean across in the "real world"--cyber space can be even more difficult! I see what you mean IRT the dress; it is so hard to really tell without seeing it on the person. Every dress is different, every person is different.

Oh...POOH SIZE! LOL! I adore Winnie the Pooh; he might be my favorite, the silly old bear. I admire the way he always thinks the best of everyone, and believes everything...of course, he is a bear of little brain, after all, so maybe that's why. ;)

Tag fairies: TY for your reply. They must be pretty rare, as I have seen little evidence...now I will watch for them... :surfweb:

I am so dumb--what is a "pooh size" ?

And, I mean, I still don't know what a tag fairy is, either. Is it a secret, or what? Being a relative newbie is a PITA.

Kimnkel,
I used pooh sized to relate to the "so not a size 8" of my sizeness. :rotfl: I am quite a curvy girl. I would love to consider myself "hourglass" I am bigger busted and quite hippy too.
:confused3 If you don't ask questions, how will you find out answers.... :confused3

I too am trying to figure out the tag fairy...he/she is quite elusive. I just hang out and try to be helpful on the things I can, and hope for a tag! popcorn::

mamacatnv,
Rest assured I was not offended by your comments about the dress. I understood what you meant and that you would not go with the strapless, and the shape concerns. :thumbsup2

I have made a couple of treks to the bridal shops locally and actually the strapless dresses look better than any of the other dresses I tried on. I really all depends on the body type of the woman and the cut of the dress as to what works.

Thanks to all for the comments on the color scheme and the dress. I just    working on the VR stuff.

OOOOhhhhh...I LOVE that one! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!!

Now THAT is pretty, and I love the jeweled pick ups, and the sweetheart neckiline always looks so feminine to me.

Wouldn't ivory flowers for you and deep reds for the maids really pop? Maybe use silver as an accent color? Or mix in some fall colors, since your VR is in November...

:cheer2: Too fun!

Very pretty.

Wow! I found another one on that site.
Very Christmasy!
ooohhhhhh aaaahhhhhh - I LOVE this dress! The dropped waist, the "cupcake" tufted skirt (who thinks up this stuff) the sweetheart curves across the top - WOW!!! I think I might have to discuss VR with DH so I can get this dress.

::yes:: :listen: I was having that floral discussion with myself just a while ago! :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Maybe some small red accent flowers in a large ivory boquet for me and the opposite for the attendants.

I love this idea. Of course, when I got married in July, I wore white, maids were apple and we reversed the flowers, they had white roses I had red. Our accent color was silver!!!

With all the red in your dresss I would stick with the Ivory and maybe a silver accent (if that is what you go with) or just lots of ivory. IMO

Beautiful dress! I like coloured ones. :teeth:

I think the reversal idea is very unique as well! I love different ideas! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness...I just found another dress with a complete pickup skirt. No corset back, but I can live without that I think. Tell me what you think...

I have no idea what the price difference is...haven't looked into that yet, I'm sure there is one though. I promise I will stop looking at anymore dresses today. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I tried on a gown with the "pick up skirt". It was absolutely beautiful. Look in the bridal magazines. Color is "the thing" in the bridal world these days. I know I've seen some before. The ads usually have listenings of stores in each city that carry the gowns. Good luck. I know you will find the gown of your dreams!

You NEED this dress! This has the full pickup skirt that was the reason you were hesitant about the first one and I absolutely love it, so you need it because we haven't been married anywhere near long enough to have a vow renewal!! hehe It is gorgeous.

Okay, just my opinion, but the third gown is almost... too much.

I like the second one best.

I'm glad you are enjoying yourself today, Tinker! Looking at dresses is fun !! :cloud9:

Maggie Sottero (www.maggiesottero.com) has a ton of these dresses with the roushing at the bottom. Some come in a red color:

Her dresses are super affordable, and you can find them everywhere. You can do what my sister-in-law did. She tried on dresses, found a Maggie that she loved, figured out what size she needed and then bought it on the internet for $200 less.

jojo,
I love lots of Maggie dresses. I have to find a place locally that carries them to try some on.

Thanks
