Considering Coronado Springs for May/June trip. What has been your experience with this resort? For alittle additional money, I can get Swan or Dolphin, using teacher rate. Which would you choose?

Coronado Springs looks pretty, but if it were me and a choice between a little extra money and the Swan, I'd pick the Swan, no question about it. Great location, beautiful deluxe accomodations, queen size Heavenly beds (best night's sleep I've ever had away from home) and all the restaurants within and around it.

We loved CSR and the atmosphere is great! The rooms are nice and the pool and Dig Site are wonderful! We also liked the Pepper Market and the grounds are beautiful. I can't wait to return! As for the Swan, IMO, it may not be as "Disney" as CSR and the other onsite choices. I guess it is all in what you are looking for. The Swan will be more deluxe and CSR will be more "Disney". Also, don't forget to check into the extra charges that they have at the Swan and Dolphin(ie. parking), they may make it more of a difference in price.

Whichever you choose, have a great trip!

CSR is awesome and I have nothing bad to say about it :)

Thanks for the responses! The Swan and Dolphin do charge additional $8 per day for parking, could add up for 9 days and possible 2 cars for half the time.
Does anyone think we'll see codes for end of May/first week in June? In past years, there have been some discounts.

I haven't stayed at Swalphin so I can't answer from that perspective. We have stayed at CSR and were pleasantly surprised. We were in Casitas 1 which was very close to the food court (as close as you can get), the bus stops and restaurant. The Dig Site was only a short walk from where we were. We really thought the Dig Site was great and is really one of the best themed areas in Disney. Our kids loved the pool but didn't like the slide though. We really liked the Pepper Market a lot. It's not your typical food court - you are seated at a table and a server brings your food. We liked this arrangement very much. I read about the convention feel of this hotel but we didn't feel that way at all.

I would think that a room at the Swalphin, being a deluxe, would be nicer than a mod but I have also read that the Swalphin doesn't have that "Disney" feel to it.

 I would vote for CSR.

HTH! :earsgirl:

I love CSR! Check out my website below for pics, links and info.

I've never stayed at the Swan/Dolphin but I have heard that the beds are larger and very comfortable.

If I could change one thing about CSR, it would be to get larger beds.

Good luck deciding!

Here are a few teaser pics...

CSR is great, if you have kids and can save money, try it out, you can always do the Swan/Dolphin another time, it's really a wonderful resort and if you're bringing kids, they'll absolutely LUV IT, especially the pool, one of the best at any of the resorts IMO. :cheer2:

We had a great time at CSR. It's our favorite moderate. I would go for it!

I know I'm in the minority here, but we did not like CSR at all ~~ would choose Swan/Dolphin in a heartbeat :) S/D rooms are much nice (IMO) and the boardwalk location can't be beat. If it will only cost you a "little" more, go for it. You'll not be sorry.

We have stayed at both the Swan and the Dolphin using the teacher rate and we loved both of our stays!

For our upcoming Easter trip we chose CSR for several reasons. First, we wanted to try something new. Second, magical express is not available at S/D so transportation would have to be arranged to and from the airport. Third, we love the dining plan and it is not available at S/D.

We love the S/D resorts but chose CSR for its advantages.

Hope this helps.

We stayed at CSR this past July and enjoyed it very much. The rooms are nice and clean, the pool is awesome and the grounds are beautiful! I vote for CSR!

I agree, much more to offer! :cheer2:

I am a teacher. We have stayed at the Dolphin that I won on Priceline. I enjoyed it and would stay there again. I have also stayed at CSR and loved it! I would go for CSR! I wish they slept 5 without having to get a suite  ...

We really enjoy CSR. We have not stayed at the Swan/Dolphin, so I can't offer any comparison.

Stayed at alot of resorts (all deluxes) before staying at CSR and now it is our resort of choice. Having said that, our tastes may be very different. Enjoy where ever you stay.
