Ok so my DH just got a new car and we are driving to Disney from Gulfport,MS (it is around a 9 hour drive). I have a Honda Accord and DH has a Nissan Frontier Truck. DH doesn't have a cover for his truck and has no idea what we would do with all of our bags in the cab if it starts to rain. DD sometimes gets sick in the back of my car. We are just a 3 person family and both cars have 5 seats. I guess my main concern is room. The truck is a little tight and so is my car. The space for bags is way better in the truck, but without the cover we just don't really know if it will be the best way to go. My question is does anyone have an opinion on what automobile would be better to drive to WDW in. And if you have one of these cars and use it to go to WDW in, can you tell me how it works for your family?

-Thanks:rolleyes:

I'd go with the Accord. Its almost guaranteed to rain on you sometime during the 18 hours you will be on the road.

My truck has a soft snapon cover over the bed, it cost about $200. The place that installed it for me did it in minutes, this way your suitcases are covered and the cab of the truck will be empty except for your family.

I'm sure you'd prefer to travel with actual suitcases, but another option might be to get a couple of rubbermaid totes..? inexpensive and still holds everything?

Just my 2 cents...We had a pick-up only when we had our first child. No where to store the stroller when I took her shopping, groceries ect. DH built a box with a lid out of plywood and painted it. It was wonderful to have somewhere to store things when we dealt with the rain. It also worked great for our cloths on our weekly trips to the cottage.
