Hi! We have the option of staying 4 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Seaworld for $99/night, OR spending 2 nights there, and 2 nights at the Royal Pacific Resort (at $239/night). It's our honeymoon, so we obviously plan to spend an average amount of time in the hotel...we also like the idea of hopping in front of all the lines at Universal if we stay at the Royal Pacific, but is it worth spending $300 more to stay 2 nights at the Royal pacific? Please help us decide based on your experiences and opinions.
Thanks :)

We really enjoyed RPR - especially being able to walk to the theme parks and FOTL! Is the $239 a discounted rate? If not, there are several ways to try for discounts. Entertainment cards can get discounts at Universal resorts. A Universal fan club card has some discounts. Universal AP can have some discounts as well. They might be worth checking into.

If you do switch resorts, we found a good way to get the most of your FOTL passes is to stay the first night off-site. The next morning you can check into your hotel, and even if your room is not ready they will issue your room keys which serve as your FOTL passes at the parks. Then spend 2 nights onsite. The day you check out your room keys are good for FOTL until 4:00 p.m. When you're done at the parks you can stay that night offsite.

Have fun!!

Since it's your honeymoon, I would definitely stay the two nights at the RPR. You will not regret it! I would start your stay at the Hilton and then move to the RPR.

You can't go back and do your honeymoon over again - go for it!!!

Enjoy!

Did you get the rate from the Loews hotels web site?

www.loewshotels.com

Type AAA in the appropriate box to get the AAA rate. You can also try FAN to get the Fan Club rate (you don't have to show the card anymore). Another rate to try is APH (annual passholders). If the rate is good enough, it may be worth it to buy an annual pass. Plus with annual pass you get discounts on meals and merchandise. To find out what the entertainment rate is, I think you have to call.

The Royal Pacific is definitely romantic. I think it would be great for a honeymoon. Try for all 4 nights!!

I don't think discount rates are out yet for July 2005. Call in a few months and also ask about the Entertainment rate. If it's available for your dates, then buy the Entertainment Book for your local area and enjoy the discounts all year.

I am sure you can get Royal Pacific for less than $239. I would keep checking here. People are very nice about letting others know when they release discounts for the hotels. I agree you could always spend just two nights at RP and stay somewhere else the first and last night. Maybe try Priceline and see if you can get a great deal. Seems like a good risk if you will only be there one night at a time. It would be an adventure trying 3 hotels in one trip.
