opinions needed-family ressie situation

Traveling will be me, DH, 82 year old grandmother, 5 year old, 20 month old and 10 month old.

We have booked, 2 day park tickets, POR, Free Dining. (We will upgrade our tickets, not hers once we get there.)

Would it be better to book adjoining Value, without my grandmother on the ressie (add her once we get there to the room only part, this wouls cost $120) They will not guarantee us an adjoining room unless it is just me and DH and the kids.
She is not going to go to any of the parks.I have the price for this, and it isn't that much more. She would not be able to get the dining plan, paid for or free.

Ohh, this is giving me a headache! LOL! Help please!

I think they could still split the two of you up and put you in non-connecting room even if she wasn't on the reservation.

To clarify: Adjoing rooms are just rooms next to each other. Connecting rooms are rooms that have the inside door between the two rooms.

If what you want are connecting rooms, Disney does not guarantee them no matter how many people are in your group. They will try their best to give them to you, but no guarantees. Even to people who had Guaranteed Connecting on their reservations! The only way to be 100% positive you will all be in the same space is to get a suite or a villa of some sort.

You might want to check your Free Dining if you do a change. As I believe for a moderate is the Regular Dining, but if you down grade to a Value it might be the Quick Service plan. Also they might not have rooms for Free Dining if you try to make a change either.

You might want to check into Fort Wilderness Cabins, still a moderate, can sleep six easy. Also comes with a lot more space including a kitchen and a grill. Only a boat ride from MK. With kids that small (and a helper) it might be more enjoyable (and restful) for all.
