Opinions?? Las Vegas Vs Fantasy 7 Nt Western Carib?

I thank everyone for weighing in on Vegas vs Cruise.
We have looked at all sides of the issue and we think waiting until DD turns 21 to go to Vegas would probably be a better idea.

Therefore, we are now booked on the Jan 5 Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy!

Thanks again for all of the input - it was very helpful!

The one in 2019? You'll be on my honeymoon cruise :)

Yay for you!! I am just seeing this now. In my opinion, you def made the right decision. I would pick a cruise over Vegas hands down! I was in vegas in April, there is a lot to do but I think everything having to do with DCL cruise would blow it away. Have so much FUN!!

A week is way too long in Vegas. Maybe two nights there, then on to Grand Canyon and then Sedona for the remainder of the week. I’d chose DCL over that any day (but Vegas is an easy hour flight for me, plus work trips take me there sometimes, so it’s an obligation not vacation)

Good choice. I'm in Vegas 2-3 times per year for the last 5 years, and after the 2 or 3rd day the first time, it started to get old. Other than the tourist attractions mentioned earlier, you won't be missing much.

One thing to keep in mind is Vegas is not cheap anymore. The restaurants are very nice now but so are the prices. I go there a lot for work and I am glad I am not paying for my meals. In March at the Aria I got a breakfast croissant and a soda for $18!!! I would agree with other posters take your daughter when she is 21. As you have heard from other posters Vegas can be cold and the pools will most likely be closed. The pools and outlet malls are the only saving graces to me for Vegas.

If you’re budget conscious you can always get the “gamblers special” at mr luckys at the Hard Rock.

Also, the Las Vegas Advisor lists some (relative) bargains around the city.

What is under aged (for Vegas) going to do for a week in Vegas, especially in January when the pools are closed.

Might I suggest a day Vegas, see a Cirque Show (or other headliner) and then adding on Zion, Bryce and maybe Arches National Parks.

However, since you posed this to a DCL group, I think you were hoping for a certain answer.
