Looking at some good sale prices but wanted to know what was the favorite here and why?

I own several running skirts brand "running" skirts with the briefs. Good quality and if you sign up for email alerts you are notified of their 50% off Friday sale every week.

Have a few more races so I'll definitely be signing up for the emails. Got an athletic skirt with the attached compression shorts for $30 and found a coupon for 15% off which took care of shipping.

I own about 10 of the running skirts with briefs. I cant stand the shorts they never stay in place for me. The skirts hold up great some of mine are over 5 years old and still in good condition.

I also love the running skirts but am not a fan of the athletic skirts. The briefs are so comfy!!! 50% Fridays Rick my world<3.

I could never wear the skirts with briefs, it would be a thong by the time I stopped running.

I have not worn the latter, but I have 2 Sparkle Tech skirts and love them. Before buying my first. I wasn't too thrilled about the prices, but I figured I'd end up buying shorts to go under it anyway, so the price evened out. I wore one for the PHM. It was great. The shorts didn't ride up, and I loved the pockets. I bought a 2nd skirt as soon as I got back. I will mention that while I love them for running, I did wear it for Zumba once and it didn't do as well, the shorts did ride up a bit and I had to keep pulling them down. But for running, they were great.

I love running in skirts so here are some reviews I did awhile ago. I love my sparkletech (you know, aside from the price tag) and I'm okay with the lululemon pace setter. With chafing, I'd never be able to handle anything without shorts underneath. Never. And I saw the runningskirts at the marathon expo in January and wasn't crazy about the material. . .

Sparkletech

(Leah probably won't do sales on any of the really cute patterns, so be prepared to pay full price if it's what you want.)

I think I've owned every brand out there.

My favorite are the Sparkle Skirt techs. Hands down.

I'm a heavier girl with big thighs and every other pair ride up on me.

For my body, the http://store.runningskirts.com/sale do not work as well. I need a little more flowy skirt action- these don't have that in my option. They are straight A-line skirts- no flaire.

I have a couple https://www.skirtsports.com/ skirts that I love 2nd to the sparkletechs. The athletic bottoms do ride a little- but not terrible. The skirts have a little more generous cut to them- so a little swing but nothing like the sparkletechs have. These are often on sale- and sierra trading post carries them too (and often on sale!)

I love the Sparkle tech skirts and have four of them. The pockets are the best I have seen in a running skirt and big enough for what I carried during the Mickey Marathon in January which included: an English muffin, 4 gels, tissues, and ID. Yes, all that was in my skirt and you can't tell because of the slightly flared skirt. If you are not certain of size, talk with Leah by telephone and she will give you advice. I even worked for Sparkle Skirts for the Princess Half expo setup so I could justify a couple new skirts! :thumbsup2

You had an English Muffin in your pocket? I'm impressed.;)

I very recently decided to give Running Skirts a try. I have two of their "running skirts" with the briefs so I can wear my own compression shorts. I love them, and I'm considering retiring some of my older running shorts.

This is my issue with shorts they wont stay in place and I get wedgies. My waist is high and small. I hate all shorts. I own 3 pairs of cycling/tri shorts and I hate them. Running in tri shorts sucks. I don't even own real shorts all summer dresses.

I wear lululemon skirts; all other brands aren't nearly as well made.

I beg to differ on this one. Running skirts had skirts way before lululemon and they have ones that have briefs not shorts. I have skirts from runningskirts.com that are as stated 5+ years old, and I'm still running in them. Considering I run multiple days a week and I started with only 2 that are still in fairly good condition I'd say that your opinion is a little off since lululemon didn't have skirts 5+ years ago! I tried on one from lululemon and it fit completely wrong. Your comment is based on a personal perspective it doesn't necessarily make for fact.

I didn't say that my lulu skirts were older, just that they wear less. My running skirts look like they've been worn after a few months, and my lulu ones still all look brand new.

Maybe its the detergent I use mine look pretty much new. People are in general shocked when I tell them how old some of them are.

Crazy right. I need alot of fuel when running a marathon and actually ended up pitching the English muffin after carrying it for about 20 miles! Disney provides alot of on course fuel so I never needed the English muffin! In my opinion you can carry a picnic in the pockets of a Sparkle Tech skirt and no one will know!

I had a spare shirt rolled up in my pocket and youd never know it. They are pretty amazing.

I think it's pretty personal based on your body type and what you want out of a running skirt. I have a blog post on running skirts, but basically for me (and of course this is only a personal opinion) I've found that as a short size 12, the runningskirts brand (I bought two different styles) were a bit too tight in the junk in the trunk region which means the actual skirt hiked up over my butt while I ran. Not a flattering effect. And they just seemed to be designed for a thinner person without any lumps or bumps that might need to be covered. Sadly, they accentuated the problem areas. The final strike against them for me was that the pockets were much smaller and held way less.

The sparkletechs (I own 4 now) definitely are more flattering if you aren't a lanky thin runner. The legs stay put very well without meandering up throughout the run. And the pockets...well I am in love with the pockets. A huge pocket on each leg that can hold several packs of honey stinger gummies or a camera or the arm sleeves you strip off mid-run AND a huge zipper pocket in the front (which I switch to the back as most of the skirts are reversable) which can hold a cell phone and a camera and a car key all at once. And the first one I bought almost a year ago and have probably washed in the washer and line dried at least 75 times and it looks and feels new. Finally, it is a small Florida business and the owner (Leah) gives the best customer service ever and they are made in the USA.

So yes, I am totally biased. And everyone has a personal opinion. Mine is that sparkletechs are practical, cute, flattering and well made. :goodvibes
