Opinions for October hours!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but did'nt the Ak open everday at 8 am last year during the month of October or at least the very first week? And the water parks, did they stay open until 6 pm. Anyway, I was wondering if the hours that Disney has just posted for October are shorter than last year?

If so, I wonder if they are trying to save money or that they believe the attendance will be lower or both? And where are the EMHs????????

If my memory serves, water parks always seemed to close at 5 PM in October.

We were there last year the end of Sept/beginning of Oct and AK opened at 9 am except on EMH day.

In October 2004, Animal Kingdom was scheduled to be open 9am - 5pm every day. Water parks were scheduled to close at 5pm all month. Same thing for October 2003 and October 2002.

EMh's are not posted but go to the calendar and click on the day and it will give you the firework and parade times.

Don't know if they are totally accurate, but Intercot Info Central has the October EMHs listed... the only variation from the "normal" EMHs are the first week of October:

Sat, 10/1- AK AM
Sun, 10/2- MGM PM
Mon, 10/3- Epcot AM
Tues, 10/4- MGM AM, Epcot PM
Wed, 10/5- MK PM
Thur, 10/6- AK PM
Fri, 10/7- MK AM
Sat, 10/8- AK AM

The rest of the month is the "normal" schedule:

Sun- MGM PM
Mon- Epcot AM
Tues- MGM AM, AK PM
Wed- MK PM
Thur- Epcot PM
Fri- MK AM
Sat- AK AM

Looks like a typical October schedule to me--12th October in a row for us.
