We might buy one Monday. ACK!!! Please tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. I am so used to driving small cars that I may have a hard time getting used to it.

Nice looking car, crappy gas mileage, no storage behind the third row of seats but overall a good, reliable car.

I have had mine almost a year and still look forward to driving it every morning. I love it. It's a lot of fun to drive and the interior is very versatile. We have some friends considering buying one now that they've ridden/driven ours several times.

The gas mileage is about the same as the other 3 row SUV/Crossovers that we looked at.

There are only 3 of us, so we could be fine with only two rows of seats. But with DD getting close to jr. high now, I know there will be more ferrying of girls to do and a third row to use on occasion would be nice. Also, when guests come, it would be great to only have to use one vehicle instead of two, especially when we're going to some tourist attaction 60-90 minutes away. The third row would let us do that. (We had liked the Santa Fe, but they got rid of the third row option. :headache:)

Even with the third row up/being used, I buy smallish amounts of groceries and so the storage behind the third row is enough for me to grocery shop. On trips, we'd lay down the third row and use it for luggage and a cooler. Once that third row is put down, there seems to be a LOT of storage.

One reason the CX9 has appealed to us is that while testing many crossovers, etc., we find that the seats are just not that plush and comfortable and the ones in the CX9 seem to be quite comfy. It seems as if once you move from a car to a crossover or midsize SUV, the seats get stiffer and we hate that.

As far as gas mileage, is it that different from what the sticker indicates?

THNAKS!

My best friend has one. She loves it. We rode in it on a 3 hour trip, and I think it is lacking in leg room. And I'm short! My DS15 had a really hard time getting in and out of it...he's 5'10" and has really really long legs. He would never be comfortable in this car on a regular basis.
