I am a bit confused about the menu for V & A's. Is it just a fixed 6 course menu or is their a 'normal' menu too? Am I dreaming or did I read somewhere that they have a non seafood version of the 6 course menu??

Have you been? What did you think of it? What food did you have?

Thanks in advance. :flower3:

Claire, they have a 6 course menu that changes on a daily basis tho' some constants remain and you choose from that. I know they do a vegetarian option so I guess you could interchange courses if you wished. I may have a copy of the vegetarian menu somewhere - I'll look for it if you'd like. Or you can opt for the Chef's Table where the chef will create a menu of 9 - 10 courses to your exact tastes... That's something we're saving up for a really special occasion... ;)

Last time I went was with Sophie in May last year and we had a great time. The quality of the food is right up there with any of the posh/Michelin starred places I get to go to and the value is outstanding - even with the exchange rate!!! I appreciate it's not for everyone but we love it and are going again in April - it's such a nice opportunity to dress up and have fab food in a lovely setting with the delicious wine pairings... Can't wait!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Thanks Karen. I thought you had been but didn't want to keep harrassing you. ;)

I really want to book it as a surprise for Lee as I know he would LOVE it but I am such a fussy eater that I don't want to pay all that money & leave hungry. :lmao: I definately wouldn't opt for a Vegetarian menu but I don't like seafood other than prawns....:rotfl2: What am I like???

Is it still 180 days for booking or 90 like the rest?

I think it's one of the only ones that's 180 days still. Why not give them a ring and explain your dilemma - I'm sure the non-seafood alternatives will be superb... :goodvibes

I've just had a look at the menu and I think you'll be fine - there are plenty of non-seafood options...

Thanks for that. I had seen a few sample menus but didn't know if you got to choose each course or if it was just showing examples. IYKWIM.

I'll be brave and if I don't like any of it I will just drink the wine! :lmao: Now to choose when to have it - Pre or Post cruise? ;)

We went for my birthday 2 weeks ago and it was a wonderful meal. If you don't like seafodd or have allergies they can do an all meat menu, or can avoid certain items as I asked for just crab, lobster or shrimp and no other seafood.

Claire ;)

whoa !!! that;s a lot of yummy food...i would love to go but the cost does put me off a bit.
