OK, so waaaay back when it was time to schedule, I scheduled our 6 park days. Wednesday-Monday. I have MK on Thursday and Sunday. All ADR and FP done.

Now we leave in a little over a week and we decided to add 2 days to the front end of our trip. We have Park Hopper Plus and are trying water parks for the first time. Because we already have our ADR and FP's the water parks were going to be those first two day, Monday and Tuesday. I also added one day of park tickets bc it was only $50 more. HA. So what I am considering is on either Monday or Tuesday doing a water park in the morning/early afternoon and a regular park in the late afternoon/evening. I was going to do MK just to get a taste of that on one of our first couple of days and bc the FP are easiest to get there at this late date.

So. My dilemma now is whether to do the evening at MK on Monday or Tuesday. We won't have a full day at a main gate park until Epcot on Wednesday. In a way I want to do Monday just bc it is the first day and I might be anxious to get into a main park. I thought it might break up the water park time a little too. We have never done a water park so I don't know how long we will last. On the other hand I know that Monday's are traditionally crazy in MK and that Tuesday's are typically better crowd wise. We have never been in the summer so I assume the crowds will be nuts in the late afternoon evening. If I had it to plan over again and knew that we would be able to add these days, I would have spread the water parks in the middle of the main park days but I can't really do that now. We are arriving Sunday night so we will be able to get an early start on Monday, whatever we do.

So. If you were me, how would you do it?
Monday: Typhoon Lagoon AM, MK PM
Tuesday: Blizzard Beach, PM dinner at Saana
Wednesday: Epcot (with pre park opening breakfast)
And so forth on until the next Monday

OR

Monday: Blizzard Beach, PM try to find an ADR
Tuesday: Typhoon Lagoon AM, MK PM
Wednesday: Epcot (with pre-park opening breakfast)
and so forth....

Add another park day and go to a park each evening after the water parks... At this point, with 6/7 park days, another park day will be very inexpensive!

It actually was more per day to add 2 more park days than to add one. Go figure. Thanks for the idea though!

Does MK have PM EMH on Monday? That might nudge me in that direction.

I can never remember which park has which hours...but if it's open later than the others, go with monday.

Hours are the same both days...9am-10pm.

I’d keep the MK night first, because I’d want to get in bed early the second night to be rested for Epcot PPO. Although honestly, I’d do secret option 3 which is NO park after that second water park day. You’ll be beat by then, I can almost promise. Water parks are fun and in some ways relaxing, but always very tiring to us as well.

Yeah, the crowds will probably be lower on Tuesday at MK, but I would go with your first option because I like things broken up.

Unsolicited opinion: You have park hopper plus for full park days, meaning 6 "plus" visits right? We LOVE the water parks. If you can get there first thing, they aren't crowded for the first hour or two but midday is pretty packed. We prefer to go for the last few hours. If BB or TL closes at 8pm, we'll arrive around 3, start in the lazy river and wave pool (no lines) and then go on slides for the last few hours. Those last two hours before closing are still warm and there are rarely lines. So if I was you (I wish I was going next week!) I would do MK Tuesday morning and a water park in the afternoon/evening. If you have the extra plus visits you could add a waterpark evening in later in your trip too. If 8pm isn't too late for you to rest up for the PPO ADR, that's what I'd do.

All good ideas! Both nights still have lots of FP. Everything except 7dmt. Even peter pan. I'm leaning toward Monday to break it up a little,I'm just nervous about the red level crowds.

1) Note that in the summer there are thunderstorms in the afternoon...so planning for afternoon water parks may not be the best idea. but if you go after the thunderstorm ends (people tend to clear out) it might be good.

2) If you go to MK on Monday evening, you will be tempted to stay to the end. What are you going to do the next day and will that work with it?

Good thoughts. The next day would be another water park day only. So getting there at 10 and staying til mid afternoon, dinner, and back to resort.

If we went on tuesday evening that would be tougher bc we have an 8am breakfast the next day. So for that reason I'm leaning toward MK monday night.

We spent six hours at a non-Disney water park yesterday and another four riding damusement rides. We were in bed by 10:30, but there is no way we'd have been up at 6:30 this morning to make an 8 am breakfast. Go for Monday.

Will it be super crowded? Sure. With a couple of FPs in hand you will still see the castle and get on a few rides.

That said, I may not want to start my vacation there if it is so crowded that you have to walk single file through shoulder to shoulder people.

I like PPs suggestion of doing MK early Tuesday am, then water park.

I think you have a good idea of what is going to work for you from the sounds of it. Your reasons for Monday evening are all solid. Just have a plan and you will be fine. We like starting at MK our first evening and foind with 3 FPP planned, it it pretty eady to navigate. I would suggest picking a land or two to concentrate on. Maybe adventure land and frontier land.....
FPP: BTMRR, splash, pirates.
Try for Jungle as a 4th once you burn through your 3. Mix in a couple lower line rides if there is interest and time and call it a night.
