Which would you choose and why?

This is our first trip as DVC owners and the 1st 2 nights we have this option. We are staying week total so last 4 nights are in studio @ SSR.

We have the option to get 1st 2 nights in standard AKV studio. Not sure if we should split stay or just stay full week in SSR studio.

What types of views do you get in Standard view @ AKV?

Thanks.

Standard view AKV Jambo is pool view. I haven't stayed Kidani.
It is fun to do a spit stay, to get a taste of the different resorts when new.
But if you are wanting alot of park time, you might want to just do one resort this stay. Depends on how you want to spend your time.
When I stayed at SSR, I had a studio overlooking the golf course. It was very nice and peaceful, and felt private out on my balcony. But I was still close to the pool. Wish I knew the room number. It was great.
Hope you get such a good location.
Congratulations. Many years of enjoyable trips ahead.:thumbsup2

I would split stay.

Our 2nd trip as DVC members we split BWV/OKW just to try different resorts.

Bell services will transfer your bags if you do not have a car

I would definitely do a split stay. I love to try every resort out and this is a great way to knock off two in one trip. They will transfer the bags for you no problem. I'm staying at Jambo this fall but I have stayed at Kidani last year and absolutely loved it. AKL is an awesome resort. Wasn't too impressed with Saratoga's theme. But as I've said, gotta try them all.

Saratoga springs is a beautiful resort. It reminds me of upscale condos, you walk outside to get to your room, you have beautiful views from most of the rooms and the grounds are beautiful.

Animal Kingdom is exotic, beautiful and since Jambo house and Kidani are so close in proximity, you have three restaurants and a wonderful CS restaurant to choose from. There seemed to be a lot more activities for my grandsons, who are young, at AKV. The kids water area is fantastic!

Loved the proximity of Saratoga Springs to DTD, WPEC is awesome for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but the bus service from AKV beats SS hands down in my opinion.

Can't go wrong with either place, but personally, I would do a split stay!!:goodvibes

I love split stays, but with two little ones, I would stay in one place, at SSR, esp. w/o a savannah view for the 5 yo. Even tho bell services will transfer luggage (which will involve several tipping "opportunities"), with the extra stuff you'll likely have to deal with, staying in one place sounds much more peaceful (easier). The kids will be happy with the pool(s) at SSR.

I'd say it depends on your plans for the vacation. If you are planning to spend long-ish days in the parks, then, stay in one place and don't make things more complicated. If you are planning to spend more than half your time at the resort, then, split the stay and enjoy 2 resorts.
