5 hours in Cartagena in the early morning? What a joke! I don’t understand why DCL always has notoriously bad port times…

The reason for the early departure time is to guarantee the ship is at the Canal when it needs to be.

I'm not looking forward to an early Cartagena port. We actually prefer the ports/times for the Eastbound, but DH doesn't want to have to PIF before the end of 2026, plus we hope the adult kids will be more settled doing 'whatever' by April 2027.

I loved the Westbound PC cruise, but we had more ports (Key West as first port) and more time in most ports it seems. I checked, Cartagena was 6:30 am to 3 pm. The advantage of westbound is also that you gain hours of sleep!

Well, ours in 2014 on the Wonder didn’t leave until 3 pm, so leaving at noon is really not necessary.

I tried to use a placeholder online, but kept getting the 7 Dwarves. I called and the CM had a hard time too. She had to call IT and they "unlocked" it right away (less than 5 minutes). I just booked with the CM since I already was talking with her. So "yes" and "no".

Based on booking reports yesterday, I find that unikely.
I know it was checked for Geomom yesterday, but could someone please check again today for

It's dependent on what time the ship is scheduled to be at the Canal.

That would have to be a really early canal time. I did a WB PC (not with Disney) and we had a solid day in Cartagena (can't remember what time all ashore was, but I know it was sometime at least mid-afternoon because we did a several-hour port excursion). And we were sailing under the Bridge of the Atlantic sometime around 5:30am/6:00am. So if we left Cartagena mid-to-late afternoon and entered the canal around 6:00am, I can't imagine what time DCL is scheduled to enter the canal that they'd have to leave Cartagena around noon/1pm!
