** OPENING DAY PRICING 2017 Pt 2 May/September: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

June 18, 2017
Disney Magic
10-Night Northern European Cruise

Cat 7A 2A $9567 with OBB; no ins/transfers

Secret verandah cabin booked at 9:00 pm Wednesday. It had gone up a couple of thousand dollars since the last 7A cabin post I could find here from this morning.

What is the secret verandah cabin?

Cat 7A's are Navigator staterooms. They have a partially blocked veranda. I believe other than that, they are the same size as a Cat 5

AquaDame, thank you for creating/maintaining all this information and to all who contributed. I was doing some research yesterday on other cruise lines. As much as we love cruising on Disney, they are starting to exceed our cost/value thresholds.

Hope to meet some of you on the ship.

And, in just a matter of minutes, Disney's website says all rooms in this category midship are gone. I looked about 10 minutes ago and there were rooms available. I texted my sister the price since she and her family were going to come with us, then checked the website again to find they're gone.

$9000 is completely ridiculous. I love Disney cruises, but at that price, it's just not a good value. I'm pretty disappointed.

Partially correct. The 7A on the Dream and Fantasy have partially blocked verandahs. On the Magic and Wonder they are a different booking class that have a enclosed verandah with a very large open porthole in them with the exception of 4 rooms that are partially blocked regular verandahs. The rooms are 6634, 6134, 7120, and 7620.

I was going to move my March 2017 Fantasy cruise to one of the Dream double dips. It will cost me the same amount money and I get two less nights. No thanks!

This was a stretch - I was expecting about $1000 less, particularly since this year's similar cruise is still on VGT. #ThanksShanghai

I have been on hold since 8 am. I would book online, but I have questions regarding my 20% discount from our January 2016 Fantasy cruise.

Currently looking to book June 12, Alaska.

I'm thinking some will open back up again after the 3-day courtesy hold period expires. There's inevitably a certain percentage of people who decide not to book.

Here is what I found online this morning (I'm silver). These are all for 2 adults, and are all Dream double dips.

June 7, 2017--4 night--category 5E--$3526
June 21, 2017--4 night--category 5E--$3,630

June 11, or 25, 2017--5 night--category 5E--$4,038
July 9, 2017--5 night--category 5E--$4,038

These all have the big aft 5E cabins available. I am a little reticent because I paid $3500 for a 4 day with my teenager last month (spring break!), in a 4A, , so this is the same or a little more for a 4 day for just DH and I in a smaller cabin. BUT, we love CC and our CC day got rained out.
Also, I am not including the OBB discount I will get.
I don't think I will go for the 5 night. I have a 7 night Fantasy Eastern in mid March in a 5E that cost us $4500 (although it is now $5500--glad I booked before they announced SWDAS). it's hard to justify paying just $500 less for 2 fewer nights even with double CC. I know summer is more, though.
I have to discuss this with him further, which is OK because no way I can sit on hold here at work.

5 Night Baja sailing May 7th, 2017
Category 4B

(fares $1507.50/1507.50/540/518.40/518.40 plus taxes of $550.60)
No transfers or insurance
This WAS an OBB

(For reference, we paid about $3800 for this exact same booking on the October 4th, 2015 sailing, and that one was NOT an OBB. That's a big price hike!)

That is exactly how I feel! I'm on the 3/18/2017 Fantasy sailing in an 8A mini suite. It would cost me an extra $5 to switch to a double dip and get two fewer nights. It's just not worth it to me. I like castaway cay, but not that much.

We are the opposite. I feel like we have done the Eastern and Western itineraries to death and doing something different is a great change even with it being shorter. Our last 2 cruises have been in January and the weather at CC has been iffy so I am hoping for nicer weather this time.
