I hope someone will post a definitive statement about this. TWO Wonder Alaska cruises in sequence may be chartered and yet some have already posted the reservations they have made on them.

Unfortunately it's not the first time DCL has allowed a charter to supercede other reservations. The "good" news (if it can be considered as such) is that this is happening on the advanced booking date and not several months later -- which has been the case in the past.

So I understand correctly.....you book a "dummy date" cruise when onboard a cruise and then cancel that one and transfer it to the one you wanted?

if that's the case...shoot!! we were just on the fantasy a few weeks ago and i asked about the 2015 dates and they said they weren't released yet and even when they were they figured the OBB wouldn't apply to the Europe cruises

You DO NOT CANCEL it, you simply modify it so you can change the date to the cruise you are wanting to book down the line.

Sorry you missed out on booking on board. It's always good to book if you think you are going to sail w/i the 18 month must sail by window that is attached to OBB. You could have always booked it and then if the OBB wasn't allowed to be used on the Europe sailings, you could have used it on something else instead or simply canceled w/ no penalty to you. So sorry the on board agent didn't talk you through the process properly.

Thought I'd pipe in here since we were also looking at the 5/25 Wonder to Alaska sailing - per my TA speaking with Disney an hour ago, it is chartered and Disney's not accepting reservations on this sailing. We've previously done the first Alaska sailing and loved it, so I'm sad we won't be able to do it again.

I booked the Wonder May 20 5 night repo about 90 minutes ago, and my first choice of room was already gone, so they are definitely accepting reservations. And the DCL agent said absolutely nothing about it possibly being chartered. Guess we'll see...

Seems like some confusion about which ones are chartered and which aren't.

There does seem to be some confusion, and possibly multiple charters. The post quoted below was made at 1:46pm, so apparently after you booked your repo.

TA confirmed that the wonder 5 night repo is in the process of being chartered and they are not accepting any reservations at this time.

Well just checked -- my reservations are listed in my castaway account, but didn't get the secret verandah rooms we had requested. We are in navigator's verandahs. Books for the 6/29 and 7/10 -- but at least got same stateroom for both. However, haven't seen the pricing yet I'm afraid -- very afraid

I just got a response from my TA saying that DCL is still booking the Wonder 5n repo, and she's asked for them to speak to management to find out what exactly is going on. Apparently there are a lot of Silvers and first timers calling in to try to book today and CMs are giving them the impression that the cruises/categories are sold out or unavailable at all, instead of specifically telling them they can't book because of the Gold/Platinum thing.
