Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

Hi, Twinkie I hope your daughter is completely better soon.

If ever there was a tag candidate, it's a line from my Maelstrom episode, which will be posted next Sunday when I get back from vacation. I think all you guys will know the line I mean when you see it.

Thanks Kay. But I know for a fact that the tag fairy doesn't read the trip report boards very much.... I have only seen one tag from a trippie. So you are safe to say all sorts of things there

(dis as a reward) like when the house is cleaned but with five kids it is never cleaned

Glad to know that I am not the only mama with a neverending list of things to do! (and a cluttered house)... .my realtor comes tomorrow at 10 am so I should be running around like a chicken with my head cut off (told you I could speak Southern ;) ) but I am rewarding myself for not getting lost on the way to the hospital!!! They shut down a DIFFERENT street that I needed and took down the one-way road signs for a certain road that is *still* one way and yet I found my way! Yay me.

hey twinkie! my kids are eating you!!!

aaaaa!!!! there is nothing a twinkie fears more than a couch full of cute, but hungry, kiddos.... it is ok spongie! everybody loves a twinkie :cutie:

A baby Twinkie!!!!!!!!Twins maybe....:rotfl2: You and MommyP could be pregnant together.... What did you reward yourself with for not getting lost?

Spongemommy....When I first looked at the puppy picture my thought was I thought you had a real dog....he is pretty darn cute and so are your kids. You are a busy woman.

I thought we were friends Nab and here you are wishing twins on me. Just kidding. I love love love my kids.... but that first year was rough. Two babies are a lot of work. Especially when one of them takes 40 minutes to eat and needs to eat every 2 hrs.

How kind of you. :rotfl:

Wooohoooty Twinkie and SpM!!!!

I'm off to the bath with my mystery!

I've noticed that if I get in the bath around 7(ish) when I get out the kids are miraculously in bed already! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao:

After I got home from kids school, I remembered our farrier (horseshoeing guy) was coming. So I quickly ran out to round up the horses and tidy up the barn. Let me just say, I can think of a lot better ways to work up a sweat in a barn, besides throwing 50 lb. bags of feed and shoveling horse by-product. Oh well, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Speaking of which, my border collie decided she would sneak over into the neighbors pasture and round up his cattle because, you know, that's what border collies do.

Except she didn't round them up, she frightened them. So they all took off running in different directions, bellowing their disapproval.

This, in turn, confused said border collie, who decided maybe this "rounding up the cattle thing" wasn't such a good idea.

Much to my chagrin, our neighbor was out in his barn too. I can barely seem him across the pastures, but I yell out "Sorry, for the chaos". He gives me the thumbs up :thumbsup2 ....Wow, he is so understanding!! Wait,:scratchin I THINK it was the thumb that was up.

So that's been my exciting afternoon, glad I could share it with you guys. Have a great weekend.

Hello Baby Nurse. Shoveling horse by product. It doesn't get any better in a barn than that now does it? Too funny about your neighbor. I get alot of people giving me the thumbs up while I am driving. Come to think of it, I get the same thumbs up over on the Offended Thread. People sure do like me.

Ya know Mommy P. I don't really know you but, you seem nice. So, as I have said to Windy on numerous occasions. I'm sooo glad we are not married.

Woohoooties to Twinkie and Spongemommie!

And a big one to MOO for her 10 lbs ribbon, yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!

Lil G, I never went to Arizona for missiles, that was in Germany. DH was out of the army when we moved to the US.

YAK, congrats on another trip, and a WOOOOhoooty to Haley for almost being done with cookie sales and Sophia doing so awesome with it.

Kay, I will check out you new chapter as soon as I take a nap her, LOL, and Mr Silly's too. I would love to read them now, but I just ate a bag of cheetos and I need a nap............

Oh wait, Kay, on the edit issue, I usually do it the other way around, I copy the edit, then paste it in reply, and with it highlighted, hit the quote box. If that doesnt work either, I am out of ideas.

Well the puppy would be the cheapest but then you would end up having to take care of the puppy as well as your kids (including the big one);)

I would vote for the 60" plasma :teeth:

A couple days ago Tornado braved the winter weather and went out on the porch. He immediately started slinking to the far side of the porch nearest the woods. A moment later he shot off the porch like an arrow. He was after a big, meaty squirrel. The problem was, unbeknown to himself or Lowell and me, Tornado wasn't the only one hoping to have squirrel for breakfast. A second later a red fox came charging after the squirrel! :scared1: We shouted at the fox till it ran away and got Tornado back in the house. The poor little squirrel ran up to the highest veritical branch in the nearest tree and clung there for about 45 minutes! I would have, too, if I were him!

One of my cats hates squirrels too, she chases them but never manages to catch them. They can go out on smaller limbs than she can since she weighs about 15lbs:)

Tornado is around 13.5 - 14 pounds. He usually catches squirrels and chipmunks before they make it to a tree. We can't ever leave the front door open or he brings them into the house and plays with them in the living room. :rotfl: Birds, too. I had a bird in our bedroom this summer.
