Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

"Pirate-Jenny" text: Bertolt breaks music: Kurt Weill

1 my gentlemen, today you see wash off me glasses and make I the bed for each. And you give me a Penny and I do not be thankful quickly and you see my rags and this lumpige hotel and you know, with
whom you speak. And you do not know, with whom you speak. A shouting will be but an evenings at the harbor and one asks: What is that for a shouting? And one will smile tendon in my glass and one
says me: What does that smile at the same time?
And a ship with eight sails and with fifty canons will lie at the dock.

2 one says: Go, washed passes your glasses, my child and one the Penny there to me. And the Penny is taken, and the bed is made! (It becomes no more inside sleep in this night.) And they do not know still, who I am. And they do not know still, who I am. A Getös will be but an evenings at the harbor and one asks: What is that for a Getös? And one will stand see behind the window and one says me: What does that smile
so evil?
And the ship with eight sails and with fifty canons will shoot the city.

3 my gentlemen, there its laughing will stop will fall then the walls there and the city is made the ground same. Only a lumpiges hotel becomes spared of the stroke and one asks: Who lives more special therein?
And one asks: Who lives more special therein? And in this night, a shouting will be around the hotel and asks one: Why is the hotel spared? And one will see step out of the door at the morning and one says me:
Did that live therein?
And the ship with eight sails and with fifty canons becomes beflaggen the mast.

4 and it come become hundred genes noons at country and will step and catch into the shadow one each out of each door and put it in chains and bring before me and question: Which should we kill? And
this noon it will be quiet at the harbor if one asks, who probably must die. And then you will say hear me: Everyone! And if then the head fells, I say: Hoppla!
And the ship with eight sails and with fifty canons will disappear with me.

Moo brownies are my biggest weakness. I love them. I sat next to a plate full last Sunday ad didn't eat one... I did eat a big cookie though... but I controlled myself around a plate full of brownies!! :cool1:
Yay, Haley, for resisting the brownies! I just could not resist tonight. It has been one of those days.

Marita, that translation is a doozy!

Yes, I guess so Nab, I have to house to myself for 3 days, I can crank up the music

Have a great night!

I found out where my post went. I posted it on the bankrupt thread by mistake

UMA-switch the contact to the other eye and see if that helps. Sometimes you can put them in the wrong eye by mistake and it will be blurry. It won't hurt to try! :thumbsup2

I'm caught up and off to beddie bye!

Good luck tomorrow MP!

Pumba-have a great trip!

Hello and goodnight to everyone else!

Mommy P-- keeping my fingers crossed. I'm sure you are a nice when your are pregnant right. Hormones don't do something funny to you do they...:rotfl2:Or are you an emotional one? That will make it interesting in Sept.

I think I'm nice...but I do get emotional. It's the only time I am emotional.

I don't know for sure what time Chad gets home...he'll probably run back out and do the grocery shopping and get a test then. I might wait until first thing in the morning to take it. ;)

So, last night Chad runs up the the gas station and comes back with someone following him. His Mom's husband, who is a creepy loser. We haven't seen either of them in probably 8 months because of him. Plus Chad doesn't have any kind of relationship with his Mom because she abandoned him when he was a baby and his Dad and Step-Mom raised him. So, anyway, Chad saw him at the store and had to let him follow him home. Then he left and they both came back and we found out that Chad's brother(same Mom different Dad) is hiding from the police(on parole after spending years in jail for drug trafficing, his dad has actually been on America's Most Wanted.) and his old GF is living with Chad's Mom and has a 5 month old baby. I told his Mom to tell her that I would watch the baby for $75 a week(she's paying $150 now). It would be great to have a baby in the house again, especially one that is family!

Marita - I keep meaning to ask you if you are familiar with this German china:

Hi Kelly and BabyN!

Have a good weekend BabyN.

Good luck with your kids projects, Kelly!

Chad said we could go to the beach tomorrow if the weather is nice. I'm off to check it now. ;)

Well????

It has been more than 3 minutes!

I am on pins and needles here!

Are you on pins and needles to hear about the weather?

Ok so like 4 minutes. I will entertain the thread with Twinkie News 2007.

The house is sold. Contract signed. No counter made- normally that is what we would have done but we are selling a duplex. And since we bought it they toadily overbilt the market so even the ones on goog condition are often on the market for 200 days. Ours has been on the market for about 40 days. And to me, the cost of commuting is high... DH has been working in the Big City since January. The gas, the tolls but most of all while DH has scenic drive through grassland and farmland I am home scraping stickers off the floor and aliquoting ketchup on chicken nuggets. All by myself. Except for the four darling children.... three of whom are are really into sports requiring me to often me in 2 places at the same time carpool wise.

We are (maybe) going to go look at houses today. Maybe tomorrow. Exciting stuff. For sure.

So I won't be around much all weekend I imagine.

Funny thing about the sale- so after we sign the as is contract and I delieveer it to my realtor's office then I call her to tell her what we had decided... she is out in the sticks and our cell phone reception is a little fuzzy.

Anyway she says "Good choice. You know he, (the buyer) is a pirate"

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Did I just sell my house to Johnny Depp???? or Blackbeard????

Nope. He is a pilot. And Thus would not be available for signing for a couple of days.

Anyway it cracked me up cause it reminded me of one of my favorite movies/musicals.... who knows it? BabyNurse does I bet!

I know there is a musical called The Pirate with Gene Kelly and Judy Garland.

Is that it Twinkie?

Gimme a clue.

ETA: Johnny really did search out the cool mom with 4 kids.

Great new on the house Twinkie!

That's awesome!

Even if you didn't get what you hoped for, at least it's SOLD!

The weather is a little, "iffy". High of 83 and partly cloudy, again. Why is it that last Friday and today are cloudless perfect beach days and then it gets to Sat. and it's cloudy?

Have fun looking at houses! Make sure you check your PMs tonight for the, "news". I'm feeling kinda goog about it, like maybe it might be true. I do usually have really severe PMS symptoms and this month I have not...

Reminds me of that quote from Pretty Woman.

"Did you like the opera, dear?"
Julia Roberts:It was so good, I almost peed my pants!
Richard Gere: She said she liked it better than Pirates of Penzance.

Nope. This was a musical play- an operetta even long before it was a movie. It contains "the best song in the pirate musical repetoire" according to Archibald on veggie tales....

Ah. I had a crush on Johnny back in the 21 Jumpstreet days.

Is it Pirates of Penzance?

I alluded to it in my Pretty Woman post. Does that count, if it's right?

BTW, Gene Kelly is one of my favorites, so naturally I had to go there first.:goodvibes

Yep! The main character was indentured to a pirate because his nurse was hard of hearing and misheard pilot.

I'll be back later with lyrics!
