Open Invitation to Base Camp: The Yeti Experience as well as others!

Hi all fellow Dis Members!

No so much a plug for our ride since only VMK votes, but an invitation to welcome you all on a journey to see the Yeti. Yes we actually have a Yeti on the ride, but that is all I will share for now. You have to see it to believe it.

Also thanks to all of you who have taken the journey and said some really kind words. The team did so much work and it means alot.

Lastly be sure to visit and support all of those who spent endless hours on their rides for this weekend, not just Team The Yeti Experience. I know for a fact this board alone had tons of entires such as, Team Boogies, and No Return, and I could go on and on....but this is time to support our friends and hopefully we all get neat prizes.

I'm glad you posted this. I wasn't sure which rides were from DIS. Great work! It took a lot of effort. My favorite room was the Hidden Mickey

I enjoyed your team's ride very much, as well as the others you've mentioned.
I've noticed many people had Yeti in various ways, and I think I have seen
three gift shops. LOL!

I love the creativity of the contest entries.

I have had the best time riding all the different Everest Rides. I do hope that the teams will leave them up a little past the judging dates, since we are all stuck (to some degree) in our own Yeti rooms for the judging.

That being said, I loved The Yeti Experience - the Yeti cracked me up. I also loved the Zeta's Magical Yeti Path with it's three 'guides', and the Movie Ride, with the double tracks (race your friends through the movies!) Team Trivia had some amazing rooms as did Corianders team (can't remember the name - Everest something ) but my (so far) unexpected favorite is Cheese It. I just laughed and laughed and had a great time.

BTW - don't forget to ride Team Boogies! We are the party team and had a lot of fun. It is not (I repeat: It is NOT) a faithful recreation of the Everest Ride, like a few of you have managed to do! There was just no way we could have done it as well as the other teams, so we just followed our own Free Sprited Path. the Highlights: Follow our winding Path, avoid a train wreck, come to the pool party, take a trip through Neverland and see some frozen Mermaids in the Lost Lagoon, Enjoy the Yeti's favorite holiday (Christmas, of course), go through a lot of cool ice rooms, remember no one can hear you scream in space, join us at the summit and stay for the skating party. Now what could be more fun than that? Come on by! (We're bored sitting all by ourselves in our base camp, too!)

What she said. Coriander worked the gift shop at the No Return ride.

I liked all the one's you've mentioned, but my giggle moments came from
Great Movie Ride, Yeti's Revenge, and the Cheese It ride.

Yeti Trackers was a technical marvel, but you have to realize that the ride
throws you off onto ice cube chairs, and you have to move down to a track
start piece to continue! I felt like such a dummy until i realized that! LOL!

I can't wait to try more rides after I've finished with my base camp.

Notazoo, I rode this ride and I must say that your mickey mouse blew me away! It's the coolest mickey I've ever seen!!!!!! Using those barrel chairs was brilliant! I'm going to ride the ride again just so I can see it again.

Thanks so much. It was a lot of fun coming up with the Mickey and Train tracks together. I actually saw some other great Mickey concepts this weekend to, so hopefully you had a chance to check some of them out as well.

BriarLori thanks for the words and I am actually looking to get back on your ride momentarily. Had some stuff to take care of today so now it is time for some VMK.

Thank you to everyone who came to our ride this weekend. We hope you enjoyed riding it as much as we enjoyed building it. It was nice to see people I haven't seen in a long time and to meet new people as well. Having riders come in broke up the time spent looking at those poor underfed pirates we locked away before we started building. We did let them leave last night though when the ride was closed so I hope they found the closest open pizza place and chowed down. I know I did. LOL Thank you too to my team. You guys are the best group of friends to have to spend the entire weekend with. You guys ROCK! I heart you! Yay Team!
