Which one would you pay OOP for. We are going for 6 nights and just changed our room only to a package with Dining. We did the dining plan last year, and really liked it. We weren't sure if we wanted to do it again, because it was a lot of food. But after I made all our ADRs and tried to calculate the prices based on what we would order, even without the appetizer and dessert at every restaurant we were coming out even, so we decided to add the dining plan. We will be paying oop for 3 extra mea, most likely the 3 character breakfasts that we have ADRs for. But now I am trying to figure out if it would be better to pay oop for 2 character breakfasts and lunch at Sci-Fi. So which one would you pay oop for? :confused3
Thanks.

Since the char. breakfasts are a set price then I would choose to pay for that one. If you order appy, entree, desert, drink at SciFi it will probably be more than the breakfast would cost...

You're going to have a lot of food if you are eating on the DDP plus 3 OOP TS meals--even breakfasts. I'd probably plan on paying OOP for Sci-Fi. When we ate there OOP, DD got an appetizer as her main dish and I just had a bowl of chili. It was one of our least expensive meals....but then, we didn't order the appetizer, entree, dessert deal or anywhere close to that. We just weren't very hungry.

Personally, there's no way we could eat a character breakfast OOP, a CS lunch and a TS dinner all in one day.

We don't really enjoy cs as much as ts, so the ts we are doing are the ones we would have done even if we weren't on the dp. If we don't feel like getting an appetizer or dessert we might not. We ended up with the dining plan, because we are doing so many ts restaurants, and if we have cs credits left over, so be it. :)

For us, it would be hard to spend as much at the SciFi as at a buffet. I would vote for SciFi lunch. But I agree with the previous poster that you should check the menu and compare it to the buffet cost. We had a cheeseburger lunch at the SciFi with no extras except a milkshake split 3 ways. We ended up so full that we missed our dinner reservations that evening!

The only way to know for sure is to figure out exactly what you'll be ordering at sci fi and price it then compare it to the price at the buffet; that's what I did but we're doing dinner at sci fi compared to the breakfast buffet. Depending on the size of your group if you order water, share apps/entree/dessert sci fi could be the cheaper choice but only you can figure that out. For me & DD it would only be cheaper if we shared a hamburger and shake with no extras; but for our family of 5 it might be cheaper if we all ordered water/our own burgers and shared 1 dessert and 1 app.
