Ooh, the monorail DOES smell funny... (almost finished!) [11/30-12/17, 2010]

I don't know how to finish this up...any ideas? I figure I should close this out before starting a new pre-trip report! :rotfl:

(I wish this site had journals where you could talk about EVERYTHING without feeling like you're going off topic...)

 Sorry it was so rough for you. Here is a little picture of a place I know you like.

That was awesome, thank you!:lovestruc

And in DLR news, because of this trip I got to find out that my sis will be cheering at the Anaheim convention center over the weekend of March 25th. Which is just when a family reunion is, but in Phoenix. Augh.

And I guess my sis is upset, sort of, with me because I responded "yes" to the evite about the reunion, so our dad is now thinking about going to the reunion instead of to the cheer competition and Disneyland.... We are 25 years apart so I was sisterless for all that time, and then of course I've had my own life and don't see her all that often...in a way, neither of us TRULY has a sister, know what I mean? So it's easy for us to be jealous of each other...

So now...it's family reunion (which I enjoy) vs Disneyland to see sister cheer and see family (don't much enjoy the cheer but it would be fun to see her "fly" in their routines)....:headache:

I'm glad you like it Molly. I took it earlier in DCA. The weather is beautiful.

I cannot tell you which I would do. I could go either way.

Good news, (half)brother is out of isolation and needs less of a percentage of oxygen. Yay! And his daily xray is slightly clearer.
*******************************************************************************************

I hate to end the report on a whimper, but I can't think of anything more to say, or at least anything interesting, about our trip!

It was nearly the best of times, and apart from the weather it wasn't the worst of times. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons without the sun. We liked our family well enough to invite them along on the upcoming trip as well! But after our next trip we won't have any points to travel on until Feb 2013 (though we certainly could borrow those to use from Feb 2012-Jan 2013).

We loved OKW, really enjoyed Royal Pacific Resort, and didn't appreciate AKL much at all (except for Sanaa).

Maybe I'll have my voice back by our next trip! That would be a bonus, LOL.

And we're totally seeing Wishes this next time. I just realized I didn't specifically mention that in my report (just in my link to the report), but, yeah, we never made it to MK to see Wishes or the Electrical Parade. With my luck the parade will have *just* been sent back to DLR in September, and we'll miss it again...but if not, we're all over it.

So unless anyone has last minute comments or questions, I'll probably let the mods know to close this up tomorrow or so. It's been fun talking with you all!:goodvibes:grouphug::3dglasses

Molly, I am glad to hear that your brother has improved so much. We had a blast in Disneyland and DCA. Duffy got his picture taken a lot.

I liked your naked Duffy pictures. :) Clothed Duffy doesn't do it for me, it seems.

They are now talking about extubation in a matter of days. Which means, I think, that they are not talking about a tracheotomy (that is normally talked about at the 2 week mark), b/c it would be silly to do that for a day or two of oxygen.

I think he is cute naked too. Thank you. And those pictures were taken for my great nephew who didn't get clothes for his Duffy. I was not going to buy clothes for his to take off. I did buy two outfits for my Duffy and he does look cute still it's just not the same.

I think you are right about the extubation being the tube down his throat and not a tracheotomy. I did have a tracheotomy myself in 2007 and I have the scar to show for it.

I'm having 'em close this one up now! :goodvibes

Thank you, December '10 first trip to WDW, we had fun...:goodvibes:3dglasses
