We have reservations in August and there will be parties two of the three nights we will be there. I'm not sure if I want to go to OBB or not. It is just my husband and I and we've never been to OBB. I doubt I'd get him to dress up. I think I'll have to watch some videos on OBB to make my decision. Any suggestions on good videos of it from an adult only perspective? I'll have to make my decision soon since these tickets will be going on sale.

1000% Last year it was so hot in Aug & Sept. People were wearing elaborate costumes with make up and arriving in the early afternoon when it was sweltering. I felt bad for them.

@juliebee I recommend that you attend one of the nights. I've attended several years with adults only. I actually think I see more adults than families there, probably because of the time and also the focus on villains.

You can book the dessert party it you want to sit at a table for a while. The snack boxes are a full meal with meat and cheese and desserts. My husband is gluten free and they make a special box for him which is always excellent. To get a special dietary box, you need to be booked a couple weeks ahead of time and then they call me about a week before to discuss.
You can also be busy the whole time without booking the dessert party.

You don't need to wear a costume. I just wear Halloween themed clothing or haunted Mansion clothes. They sell plenty's of shirts there, too. My husband just wears regular clothes. There are people wearing elaborate costumes and also people just in their normal park clothes.

The treat lines slow down about midway through the event and you can go through as often as you want to. The villains are interactive and very amazing. I do collect candy (which I give away for my own trick or treaters), but sometimes I'll just go through the line to see the villains.

You'll have shorter lines for rides, special merchandise and food and the walk through at villains Grove can be beautiful. I highly recommend that you attend one while there. Are you staying at VGC? Last year, my room overlooked villain's grove and I would have felt like I was missing out if I didn't have tickets.

I’m debating whether to do a 3 night trip to DL doing 1 day at DL and OBB plus Clarabelle’s Halloween Dinner - I haven’t done OBB since 2022. Or what would be my 3rd 3 night annual Xmas WDW trip in Nov; doing both MVMCP and JN plus dinner at Hoop De Doo ??

I can’t decide. And I have a specific party date I’d want to attend in the beginning of Sept - whether tickets sell out release day or I can get later? - don’t really want to sit in a 3hr queue! Plus I’d wanna put the tickets on a Disney GC which I’d have to buy in advance.

Similar to the WOC dessert party. It's been for the parade. This year, there's no parade, but some type of street party. The tables and chairs are in front of Sonoma Terrace. It came with unlimited drinks: water, cold brew coffee, sodas, special event cocktail and non alcohol specialty cocktail. Food came in gift boxes with a pin. They gave us OBB gift bags to carry our leftovers in.

I can't answer about Disneyland being more crowded than usual. It's always extremely crowded when I go no matter what's going on.

After watching 3 videos on OOB, I think it's a great party for those that value unique characters, candy trails, a unique parade, and dressing up. This year also introduces the street party. I don't think I fit that demographic exactly, so I'm leaning to not do it this year. Thank you for the info and recommendations though!

Yes. They have a limited ticket allotment for Magic Key holders. I remember Magic Key holders unhappy that they couldn't get OBB tickets during their sale a few years ago. Typically they reported trying again during the general sale.

Me, DH, BIL and our nephew are going to be there the first week so we're targeting 8/18 or 8/20 for OBB.
And then I'm back again with DS targeting 9/13 or 9/15.

I think I read you can only buy one date at a time, so I'd have to get these sets of tickets in separate transactions. Is that right? So buy my Aug tickets, then get back in queue for Sept? (Or enlist DH or DS to help, but that's almost as much pain as getting back in queue.)

Last year you could buy only one date per transaction, but once you did that one you could select another date and buy. I think you got like 10 minute to shop or something? I definitely went through the line only once last year and got 3 different dates.

Oogie tickets secured! That was one of the easiest I've ever had with Disney. I went right in and had my tickets in a few minutes. October 1st.

I needed a win. I've been up since 4:30 am this morning trying to get Bayeux Tapestry tickets at the British Museum for the fall. I've been in the queue for hours and the status bar is barely moving. They are saying demand is going to be like for King Tut in the 70s
