Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 News and Information

I just read through it all, but help a newbie out.

We plan to go to the party on Aug 20 (pending ticket availability) which is before the "Halloween Time" starting on August 21st. Will we be missing anything? It was hard to tell if some of the ride overlays in DCA then wouldn't be available or just some of the overall decor?

We are also at DL on the 19th and happy to catch Paint the Night as we missed it on all our other trips, but again, it appears the park won't be set for Halloween. No biggie right?

You will not miss anything at the parties that are before Halloween. DL will likely not have the Halloween fireworks or Haunted Mansion Holiday until the beginning of Halloween.

Yeah it’s read as not parade but street party instead as the street party will have a dessert party viewing area.

Do you think they will do WOC during the party?

Curious what if any new characters they will have this year?

I'm curious to see what the street party is like.

My guess is that they will have floats stationed along the parade route. The cast and characters will dance and move along the route from float to float. If that is the case, the view and experience will be different depending on where you are viewing the street party.

D23 Member Night on 9/27. Please tell me I am not the only one who screeched "ZOMBIE CAP!!!"
I've been looking over the D23 event page, hoping for Zombie Cap...
So far, the only D23 exclusive stuff they specifically mention is a DJ, photo backdrops, and D23 Oogie Boogie pins (for purchase). I did notice that they may have hinted at an additional character meet, but I could be misreading it. I'm sure they'll offer something extra.
.No matter what, I'll be rooting for Zombie Cap.

You saw the same hint I saw. :D

Nothing confirmed I agree, but I am hopeful.

I am not trying to argue with this point, but if this is correct then I genuinely don't understand the idea of a dessert party for the street party?

With a normal parade dessert party, the dessert party is stationary and the parade moves past the party location / seats. I only know that because my DW and I have purchased a dessert party parade ticket before.

If the floats or sets don't move and the CMs move between the stationary floats and sets, then you get a dessert party that cannot see the entire party from end of the route to the other end of the route, set to set or float to float? That wouldn't seem like a worthwhile dessert party ticket if you are missing sets or floats and dancing at each location at the start or end of the dance party route. I suppose this would all depend on how many set pieces there are and where they are located. Maybe there is a location within DCA that the dessert party can be set up to see the whole route? I suppose.

I agree. I was thinking the same thing. The floats can't move down the street. Where would they all collect to start or stop? That's the problem that the construction is causing.

They are purposely not calling it a parade. The description says, "The new street party will feature multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight" To me, show stopping moments for Madame Leota sounds like she is cruising down the street and stopping at several spots. Disney is pretty darn creative and the special effects and interactive moments at each stop could be pretty impressive. I think the focus will be on people, ghosts, etc. walking the parade route. Maybe they will allow guests to follow Madame Leota as she walks from one show-stopping moment to the next. :confused3

I am so sorry, I thought we had been begging so long and often it would be obvious.

In 2022 when the "What if" TV show was on Captain America was out for D23 Members Night in Zombie makeup after an episode of the show.
Zombie Captain America. Got it. I was trying to figure out what a cap was. Didn't realize it was short for Captain America.

lol. The purpose of the dessert party is Disney profit.

I've got another thought for the "street" party...
World of Color ONE is returning for the Halloween season. Why? They make no mention of it at Oogie Boogie Bash. It's not listed as the prior VILLAINOUS iteration World of Color.
I wonder if show elements for WoC will be utilized during Leota's Swinging Wake. I also wonder if WoC ONE is somehow more compatible with the street show than the current WoC.

I mean, I will say this every year until the event does more

People pay 200ish bucks for an event that is the same as last year with a Villain or 2 replaced

Like I wish someone could challenge them, look at HHN at Universal they created 9ish haunted houses every year and have 2 extra new shows for said event

DCA is like you get Candy, Villain Trails, Meet and greets Villains Grove and the parade. Most of that isn't changed at all year after year.

I get new people doing it but besides Influencers, no idea why people spend that much money on the same event from last year
