This is our first ever trip to Disneyland and we are really excited. My DH recently made a trip to CA and found that he really liked the Ontario Aiport. I am finding cheaper fares into this airport and wondering about drive times. I am planning on booking the HoJo. Our flight would land at 8:40 PM on a Friday and we would have to leave on Monday with our flight at 1:10 PM. How long does it take to drive from the HoJo to the airport? I know that traffic is notoriously bad so would like some idea. TIA!

Traffic lightens up around 9:30am but its not so bad northbound 57 during rush hour either. Once you get past Brea then you are ok. I would suggest that you give yourself time because you never know what may happen. I'd leave by 10:45-11am to give yourself at least an hour and I assume you are renting a car. If you get there earlier, you can always have lunch nearby along I10 as there are plenty of good restaurants, even near Ontario Mils. I live along the 57 so it usually takes me 30 minutes to get to the 57/10 junction from Anaheim. You could also take the 57 N to the 60 E and exit Haven and head north on Haven which will take you to the airport as well...will be on the left. If you take that route, you can utilize the carpool/HOV lane. That lane automatically goes from the 57 N to the 60E. If you decide to take the 10E instead from the 57, you will have to exit the carpool lane after Pathfinder to continue on the 57 N.

Be sure you get the prices for the rental car from that airport.

I know that SuperShuttle is far more expensive from ONT than it is from LAX or SNA. I ruined the savings b/c of that. Only saw cheaper airfare, assumed the SS rates were the same, whoops.

So get your total transportation costs before buying that ticket. It might not be worth it!

and there is a Rainforest Cafe in Ontario Mills Mall!

(I used to live there.....I miss it)

Thanks for all the information - very helpful! Actually, I didn't think the car rental was that bad so I think we will definitely end up going that route. Thanks again! :goodvibes
