I can save $108 if I fly into ONT rather than SNA.

Do you think it's worty it?

What's the best way to DLR from ONT?

Is that 108 for just you? If not, how many?

When we flew into ONT we used Super Shuttle. SS for me and my 3 year old was about $50 plus tip one-way.

I didn't realize, when doing the math, that SS from SNA was only $10 per person. For that situation, I messed up, because we actually came out even monetarily. In terms of time, coming into SNA makes scads more sense, because ONT is a bit of a hike.

I've said I won't fly into ONT again, but I'm a bit weak with that sort of resolve, so a good enough price might sway me in the future, but this time I'll check the whole cost instead of just assuming the ground transport would be the same. :)

We always fly into Ontario because of the savings on airfare. We don't worry about shuttle costs because I can usually manage to rent a car for about the same price as a shuttle. Plus we enjoy having a rental car so that we can visit the Character Warehouse and the beach and try a new restaurant in the area for a bargain through restaurants.com. Also, the drive from the Ontario airport has always been a breeze for us. We have never encountered any real traffic and find the drive to be well worth the savings.

There's never one right answer, is there? I would never rent a car down there, I have no interest in driving* there (and I'm from CA). :)

*Our Sept trip we did drive all the way from WA and that experience has kept us from wanting to do that again, and our experience driving around Anaheim has stopped me from ever wanting to drive around there.

Just out of curiosity...why was the driving experience in Anaheim so terrible?

To the original poster....If you aren't renting a car, I would definitely see what the cost is for transportation to and from the airport and then see if it's even worth it.

Thanks for the feedback. $108 is the total savings for four people. Considering time, and shuttle, and location, it seems SNA is still the better choice.

We enjoy flying into ONT. :) Although last time it took some creative navigating due to traffic to make it to the plane on time...
