I was looking on US interactive map to try to start planning for our trip, and it looks like the only way to park hop is to go through CityWalk. Is that right? Now I'm wondering if we should just do one park each of our two days we are there instead of getting the park hopping choice? We are staying at RPR so we have the express pass so I thought we would probably be able to park hope, but if it's going to take awhile to get from one to the other, then I'm not sure. ?

The entrances to the two parks are very close together. Just a few minutes walk. Of course if you are at the back of one park and want to go to the other it will take a while to walk but from gate to gate no problem.

We like the option of being able to park hop. Especially with the express pass.

You don't have to go all the way back to CityWalk. There is a path that runs in front of Hard Rock Cafe and NBA City that is shorter. It is a nice easy walk.

The park entrances are literally maybe a 5 min stroll between them..They are that close. We hopped between them with our 8 yr old easily

If you do go out across the bridge from one park and through the front of Citywalk, and across the bridge to the other, it will add minutes to your hopping experience, but it still doesn't take that long.

Even better is if you just turn left after leaving IOA, or right after leaving US, and just walk along the park-side of the water, not crossing the bridges at all.

No matter what, the walk is not that long.

are you referring to the short cut by HRC?

yea, you can go behind hrc and in front of BMG to get into the studios.
but this only works if a TM is at the stand/gate to check your ticket to let you through.

one time last year no TM was there so that shortcut didn't work out for me.

USF is on the left, IOA is on the right. Citywalk includes everything you see on the map, so *technically* you have to go through Citywalk to get from one park to the other, but as you can see, it's a short walk.

*Note* The image is slightly outdated, as it does not show BMG, Rising Star (City Jazz), or Bubba Gump (motown). Otherwise, it's spot-on.

I suggest you go to googlemaps.com and enter universal orlando in the search bar. Once you have zoomed in, pull down the little walking person from the top of the zoom bar and pull him onto one of the blue roads. You will then be able to walk around and get a really good feel for the place.

I didn't know you could do that, thank you!
