Only I have the TSA pre check for security, can DH come with me?

Why would they give only one person the TSA pre check in a party? Makes no sense unless I can have dh come with me. Last time we both had it.

I don't think the TSA cares who's flying in a group. I've been the only person in my party to get it before. Might as well take advantage of the convenience and have a sit-down past the security area while you wait (that's what I did).

It's random if you don't have Global Entry or TSA Pre.

You can go through regular security together or split up. Your husband cannot go with you.

no your D H can't go with you. My wife and I both had tsa pre for 6 trips, no problem. On our Feb trip 2 weeks ago out of PHL to mco my wife had tsa pre and mine didn't all of a sudden. We both went through reg line. Now when I check in on line from Bwv for flight home we both had TSA PRE so I guess yu never know when you'll have it anymore.

No - only the TSA pre-check person can go through security in that line. You are allowed to go through the normal line with the rest of your family, however.

As mentioned, no your husband can't go with you. This happens to us every trip. However, if you have children with you, they can go with the precheck person. We either both gave precheck or I have it alone. The grandkids hang with me and go through precheck with me.

I fly regularly for business and never have pre but my husband gets it everytime he travels with me. It always leaves me scratching my head.

I get precheck a lot. However, on our flight from Boston to San Diego last Dec, dh got precheck, I didn't. And.....I got through security faster than he did!!! I was standing there, waiting for him, for almost 5 mins!!! They had sent so many people to the precheck line, it got bogged down with those who had no idea what they were doing...stood there taking off shoes, emptying bags, etc. So, your dh could possibly get through before you do!

Yes that's right. I forgot that. It was 12 and under. We asked the tsa agent on the last trip.

Totally random unless you apply for PreCheck. To apply you do so on the TSA website and go to a center to have your finger prints taken (for a back ground check) and pay $85, good for 5 years. Both my wife and I did this, but lately the PreCheck line at our Albany airport is closed at times. Other times the PreCheck line is longer than the regular line. It works pretty good at Orlando though.
